Next Expac: Outer Space!
Funny, so many posted they really love that Outfit.
I do really like the outfit a lot (largely because they look like the Orochi guards from Secret World), but I am in agreement with some of the sentiment behind your post in terms of whether it fits the game or not.
At the end of the day, the game has long since abandoned any sense of individual style and if this helps finance the game, I mostly just let it wash over me and ignore it best I can.

I like it, too. Just not in the GW2 universe.

Good advice.
You people are so picky about everything that you failed to realise that the Exo-suit outfit is a Asura theme Outfit.
The design actually follow the Asura cultural outfit for warrior types

Looks more like a Hero-o-Tron outfit.

This pack, which is usable by any character, comes with the latest advances in piloted exo-golem technology and holographic aeronautical volitation that the College of Dynamics has guaranteed will not explode within the first ten uses.
Seems pretty Guild Wars 2 universe-appropriate to me.

Description wise yes, but to me, personally, the look doesn’t fit
But, each to their own. If the wider playerbase likes it so, be it
Seriously, I am beginning to feel like some of the devs are getting a kick out of doing exactly the opposite of what their clientele is asking for on the forums.
For instance, I have been among those criticizing the increase of futuristic weapon and armor designs. So, what did they do? Come up with this “gem” (see attachment).
Next expansion location confirmed: Visiting the Six in outer space!
Yep, they saw your posts criticizing futuristic elements in the game and said to themselves, “hey, Ashantara doesnt want futuristic stuff in the game…I hate that guy so lets make an outfit based on Ironman!!! It will really tick him off!!!” After work the devs then all twirled their mustaches and went looking for kittens to drown.

Wow another thread from you complaining…
I for one think the outfit is awesome.
While i love the medieval roots of GW1, you cant deny what kind of effect 260 years of social interaction with a scientific species does to a populace

You really hate asuras don’t you?
I’ve been running around with their technology since the launch of GW2, and now you come here claiming it’s NOT part of the gw2 universe? Okay then. I would say it’s what makes GW2s universe more unique than any of the other generic wizards, dragons and harry potter/tolkien universes out there.

Wait till the new expansion comes out. This outfit will probably fit the wohle holosmith theme a lot so I suggest, if you play engi, you´ll be thankfull for this kind of outfit.^^

Lots of people like futuristic weapon & armor designs, which fit into the game’s existing aesthetics (asuran cultural armor, aetherblades, magitech). In particular, the College of Dynamics is known for its golems and this exoskeletal design bears similarities to golems.
So feel free to jump off the bandwagon of support this outfit is getting, because you personally prefer something else. But please avoid misrepresenting the motivations of the developers because you don’t like the skins.
I must say, that in addition to this outfit, an outfit that looks extremely planty detailed, or even greatly human detailed or norn detailed or Charr detailed would be equally welcomed. (The gods know the charr needs some well made armours, and there’s no gods for the charr.)

This design has toes for Asura, is Asura related, AND from the Dynamics College. It totally fits in the GW2 universe, wich mixes multiple styles of technology with multiple kinds of magic. The design also looks good.
I STILL WILL NOT BUY IT BECAUSE IS NOT MIX’N MATCH ABLE.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

But who are you to dictate what other players like in the GW2 universe? A great many people enjoy these outfits in GW2, why is it that just because you don’t you think ANet should stop making similar outfits?
Hey it was about time asurans put their tech into some fashion piece. With all this asura technological advancement and gizmos, I am not even surprised. And I like the look of it as well. Finally some armor that doesn’t look ugly.
