Nightmare laby
Try learning the mechanics before threatening “no more gem purchases.”
They weren’t even that hard to begin with, and even less now that they’ve been nerfed.
If what you’re doing right now isn’t working, try something else.
EDIT: Oh you mean those wolves.
Mora. Learn the mechanics of what? You didn’t even understand what I’m talking about that frustrated me to no end, did you? Pray tell me what is the “mechanics” of that labyrinth so you can get past at least half a dozen of those wolves crammed in the only narrow way of access to the nightmare chest? I am all ears. Well, eyes as you will type not talk. Because believe me, I’ve played the game since a week or 10 days after it came out, and I wouldn’t have gotten where I am if I didn’t “get” any of the “mechanics”.
narwhalsbend – yes. THOSE wolves.
There’s actually 2 ways to get to the central Labyrinth chest; one is the obvious straight run from the east, the other is by climbing the cliff on the western side.
If the eastern side is being mobbed by wolves, consider just hanging back and waiting a while for them to move on. The wolves tend to run around in mobs, which means that if the south is being overrun, the northern route will be almost empty of wolves.
Also, try to run with other players. Stagger your skill 1 to stun wolves when they get close, and help out other non-transformed players you see who are running from wolves. They can turn around and save you in turn later.
You’re being killed, there’s an effect that makes you invulnerable. Use it.
Cold Light — Travel with impunity at the speed of light. Immune to conditions and damage; movement speed increased by 50%.
- Radiate — Radiate cold light, temporarily stunning bioluminescent creatures.
Notes
- Players gain this effect by walking over the glowing plants found throughout the Tangled Labyrinth beneath The Silverwastes. The plants are easy to locate within the labyrinth as they’re marked by a cog on your compass.
- The effect lasts for 10 seconds and stuns Bioluminescent Lurchers that attack you for 2 seconds.
- Once a player has used a plant, they cannot use that same plant again for 20 seconds.
I guess you just don’t get it, do you? Laby was full of players hence overrun of these wolves. To the point that no, there was no place where there would be none.
Mora, I could play sarcastic and ask you if you ever heard that they invented the wheel, or I could simply ask you if you have any impediments in information processing, but I’ll pass, because, as I said, you obviously didn’t get it – not even the fact that definitely it was not my first time there. Also if you don’t mind do me a favor and show me a plant between the last one on the left-hand side before the start of the long run to the middle chamber and the middle chamber itself; because until further notice, there is none, you lose your transformation way before reaching the middle chamber, and when there’s practically a wall of about 8 of these creatures blocking the way right about when you get out of transformation, another 5 or 6 behind them roaming the chamber, and a dozen behind you, good luck using cold lights and radiates. That map was full of rallies and wolves. Nobody could get past them. I tried at least a dozen of times before getting to the point of no return. In conclusion, get down that high horse because it’s a rocking one.
So, yes, trust me, I have a lot of patience. Up to the point when someone obnoxiously tries to call it rain when the smell definitely indicates something else.
And some skills allow to outrun them, Engi – Super Speed.
You can also dodge them, so vigor regen is useful.
Not to mention there is an existing mechanic to avoid damage completely.
I do not see the problem? Even without the existing mechanic, there is skill involved in dodging, outrunning (cooldown management) and watching the minimap for the VERY clear red icons.
STILL a skill based event. Stop the kitten.
And to get to the central chamber before running out of the invulnerability buff.
Grab first flower on the left then go down that corrider turning right, keep right and run ALONG SIDE the central corridor that goes straight through, there are flowers to the left and right all the way to the middle, just keep right and you can enter via the BACK of the central chamber.
Again, STOP THE KITTEN.

Ive personally never had huge problems in the labyrinth. You can quite easily plan your way around the labyrinth when you know where the plant buffs are.
If you ever do run out of the buff (and i know you do), you can rely on someone else with the buff stunning the wolves, because that’s what its there for
Also there are two ways to get to the center, one is on the back, which i always use if the front is too crowded.
I call BS (based on personal experience) on there being absolutely no way of getting there. If the front has so many wolves you can’t possibly go through it, then there is no way that the backdoor is filled with them.
The labyrinth IS mostly skill based, my death rate has gone down incredibly low after playing through it couple times and learning to use the minimap, which is incredibly helpful for planning your movement in the maze.

I never liked the labyrinth either. But then again, i just avoid it unless i get a nightmare key in the breach to avoid getting annoyed at it.
My rubbish skills aside, it just didnt feel like it fitted in the setting either. Just forced in there with a chest in the centre. Great as an actual activity….less great as part of a continued world building. If mordy has access to unkillable, one shot mobs…he really needs more of them in his army. After all!
