So… Since Countess Anise has a bigger role now and hopefully it will stay that way, can we have her armor please? It’s much, much prettier than all the armor and outfits in the gemstore. -.- I’d prefer it as light armor though, I don’t want brute warriors to dress in such piece of art, they don’t deserve it.

I’ll sign that, but only if it comes as an armor skin set and not an outfit. I would prefer to only use parts of it.

And I would like a Countess Anise minipet while we are at it. Having someone who refers to the player character as “pet” as a mini pet sounds oddly fitting.

Anise is my favourite npc and I would love to have a mini pet of her as well!

I would love to have her armor, as separate skin pieces as well. And I would be extatic if they release it in the original version, which looked like this:

it’s clearly not that difficult, i even found a skyrim armor mod to wear her armor. (not gonna link it for obvious reasons but you’ll find it eventually)
this armor is separated per piece, surely Anet can do the same.

While I disapprove of the title I completely support the idea. The armor would be very popular indeed.

So… In skyrim we can dress in her armor while we can’t do it in the original game it comes from? Shame. Oh and title is supposed to be ironically funny. We can dress as almost every major npc in the game (Destiny’s Edge, Kasmeer, Marjory etc.) Anise just got a bigger role now, thus I think we deserve to be able to look like her too and I’ve been pleading for this armor for a year now. This justifies the impatience in the title. xD

Yeah that whole topic header, even if I had plans to release this armour to the public, I would have trashed that idea based upon that header… if it were up to me, obviously…

I’ll add my voice to that. I’d love to be able to buy Countess Anise’s armor, Light of course.

Once upon a time, when GW2 was still in development we got a blog post talking about armor and dyes. During it, it was mentioned that Anet used GW1 armor for inspiration and we got a comparison between GW1’s Mesmer Elite Kurzick and GW2’s version (what would end up being Anise’s armor).

Comes the game and nobody can find it. The only trace of it is a reworked version on Anise and Anet has been silent ever since.

A few months ago a code was found for this armor.

Up to this day, I still believe that the kitteniness of “Armor is armor, we don’t want kittentail dresses and skirts !” that started on gw2guru is the reason why this armor and another one (the one the mesmer concept art wears) isn’t available to players.

Want this since even before the game came out and I saw it in screenshots. Can’t believe it’s still not in the game yet. Also, I’d love it as an outfit. I kinda like the outfits in this game cause you can swap them for free.

And yet there are some armour sets which hardly qualify as clothing, let alone armour… :/

Because they threw in a few kittenty ones to say “see we cater to everyone”. Want dress like the skimpiest street walker ? There’s an armor for you.
Wanna dress like a nun ? There’s something for you too.

Wanna dress with something sexy that doesn’t have 3+ layers, doesn’t look bulky, doesn’t give you a huge kitten , doesn’t have a turtle neck yet is slightly revealing (not underboob nor feathered) ? Go kitten yourself.

Anyway, no amount of kittening is going to change anything. We’ve kittened about armor for two years, and yet male medium armor tops still come attached with something going below the waist and female light wearer are still waiting for plain old pants and not tights or pants with a skirt attached.

I, too, am tired of begging ANet to give us this armor. I instantly fell in love with it the first time I saw it before the release of GW2. Sadly, there’s been no reply from ANet and this is the fifth thread about this subject I’ve commented on.

This would look not as elegant with shoulder and cap items, I don’t think. Granted, before the game released, I remember reading the wiki explaining that the player would be able to dress as NPCs, I don’t think this armor is finished.

sometimes armor is not a whole body integralprotection armor. ever seen abrbariens in role playing games? their armor is hardly protectiv as a knights armor, but it does its job of protecting of smaller injuries.
You can´t always go with the principle of how many hits an armor can take.
sometimewarrior depend more on their agility to avoid direct hits or their ability to pairy and counter blows. for that they need movment, which they wouldn´t have in a full plate armor. The norn armors are very reminiscent of that armor philosophie.
Yes there are armors with questionable skin showing spots but keeping in mind how many skin showin armors are more suited for barbarian types of warriors, they are very few.

this is wanted for CASTERS, who wear cloth. which is not protectiv AT ALL.
Or is your t-shirt capable to protect you from a sword blow? if so patent that kitten.
other wise it´s pointless to complain about protectivness about cloth armor, since realisticly it has none.

when they stated you could dress as any NPC in the game, the first thing i thought was “so i can finally mix armors with the ones NPC’s wear”.
now all w can wear is what they allow us to wear, quite a twist of promises don’t you thing, i wanted to use this dress and mix the top with anise’s corset.

Light armor has some of the least noticeable shoulders and headgear. Apprentice has a tiny golden thing on just one shoulder, just like the Order of Whisper. I’m not even sure what the Exalted shoulders are.
And the headgear could have been a simple stone on the middle of the forehead or feathers or really anything.

I don’t know why it’s not in the game. But “not finished” is bullkitten.

Edit : Actually I now know for sure why it’s not in the game. And why that other dress isn’t either. The skirt (and dress) is part of the torso armor, just like medium armor. So the clipping with light armor skirts would be (even more) ridiculous.

They already stated before that the way they created medium armor torso parts is one of the things that prevents them from allowing mix-match across armor classes.

The armor clipping due to mix-match could be solved by releasing these two armors as outfits. They could make a package of NPCs outfits for 1000 gems or so.
One thing is making me wonder though. I think that it is wide known that many people would buy Anise’s armor from gemstore in a heartbeat. Anet could earn so much from this and they still don’t do that, even though the forum is full of various Anise’s armor topics. Either way they do not pay attention do the forum or something deeper is behind it.

Hmmm. That’s not what I typed at all.

Clipping can be solved by negating the pants, Flame Legion armor does it.

I can think of two reasons for not relasing this armor just yet:

• They need to come up with an equally cool male version
• The female model needs to look decent on all races and maybe charr and asura are not that easy.

In any case, I would buy gems with real money for this armor.

There are exceptions (which do indeed often look quite silly), but in a lot of cases charr and asura female characters simply use the male variant of the armour.

’Course, this just makes the first point all the more important. :P

This game needs more non-flamboyant light armour sets. I want anise’s armour and the noble NPC outfit for my Mesmer! Also give me Queen Jennah’s dress while you’re at it! <3

You can’t have a Countess Anise minipet, Countess Anise only has players as minipets.
