I haven’t seen a thread on this yet (no not about skills update etc, but about the LS content), and am really curious after watching the image under releases page. I just saw the image and thought that Anet is either playing this close to the chest or there’s no story content planned at all (which seems less likely) or they forgot/not decided the name for the LS :P.

Previous release preview images had the short form of the name of the Living Story (TA for Twilight Assault, QJ for Queen’s Jubilee etc) in the image filename, but this image hasn’t got any such thing. It just mentions the date “10-15” followed by “NextHero” which is commonly used for every LS update.

The guy in the image looks like Canach.

It looks like a werewolf to me. Which might have something to do with the Mad King’s next plot?

Looks like a dashing and dignified Charr sans the horns. Of course I’m sure the ingame model will be a hideous hunched over heathen no different that the rest of the filthy flea-ridden mongrels.

My guess is that Bloody Prince Thorn comes back. Maybe to mess with King Thorn or maybe as an alternate Halloween baddy.

I would say he’s most likely a Sylvari. Compare with the second and second-to-last hair styles:

If the October 8th release does involve Twilight Arbor or the Nightmare Court, that would certainly explain why there’s a scary-looking Sylvari on the release preview. He doesn’t look much like Canach, but then again, neither does Canach, so it’s anyone’s guess who he is or how he’s involved.

It’s hard to say whether this will involve Twilight Assault, Halloween, or both. Maybe the Nightmare Court and Lunatic Court get together for a courtly shindig?

ROFL :P. EN most probably means English. Usually the name of the release comes before NextHero (QJ-NextHero-NA, etc). This one lacks any of those initials, which I think Anet skipped this time to keep us guessing. I hope it’s not Halloween related, those are annual festival events and don’t have to be the central theme for LS.

And the guy in the pic still looks Sylvari to me, more like Canach (that hairstyle looks similar), but an Undead version?!
