Q:

Since the Queens Jubilee update, the amount of people selling party places for Arah part 2 and 3 is steadily growing. It is done via a third party website we all know about: gw2lfg.com. Prices range from 5-7g. It is obviously profitable for the sellers. They promise accepting you into the party, and letting you kill the last boss which is “on 1%”, which gives you 3g back, experience and 60 arah tokens. Similar things have been done for the Aetherblade dungeon.

I think this is bad business and a cheap way to make money, but there is no option to report these kind of people. So i was just wondering if its a big deal or I am just overthinking it.

In GW1 selling trips through dungeons was common, in addition to selling runs for lowbie characters to other areas.

In GW2, people sell ports up jumping puzzles.

Doesn’t seem to be frowned on.

Meh, some people charge for ports (although honestly this is pretty uncommon because of how easy it is for another Mesmer to come around and simply ask for tips, completely killing off the other Mesmer. I did it all the time back when people needed the skipping stones puzzle)

In GW1, people sold “runs” from early outposts to MUCH further outposts.

It’s nothing new and honestly, not really a problem.

All they’re really doing is selling a service.

ANet has never liked speed clears or runs, but it remains to be seen if they’ll do something about it. To be honest, their attempts to fix speed clears in GW1 were dismal failures; the multiple updates to Underworld to make it harder just made it SO tough that most normal groups gave up on trying to complete Underworld normally, leaving gimmicky speed clear groups the only viable option of beating Underworld (within a reasonable time frame).

haven’t experienced this personally but it happens and not often enough to throw the economy out of whack so i doubt they really care.
