So one of my favorite moments when first starting the game was diving into that gorgeous blue water of the bay and then finding the remains of old LA submerged and all that. I was just thinking that it would be cool, since Asuran technology already has submersible locations, if that were all turned into a museum type area, or maybe another hang out spot, kept dry once more via Asuran technology. Since the rebuild is nearing completion, I was thinking about how cool it would be to see it as a giant bubble force-field area, or something, where players can walk through and see the old city, and other players swimming overhead would be able to look down and see in and everything.

Isn’t most of the old city remnants actually destroyed now, due to the invasion?

there is actually still quite a bit, there. the problem though, it that most of it is buried, and what isnt buried was ruined, mostly

The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

Normally, I’m one for ruins, but since so much of it is gone now, I’d kind of like to see something like this with (at least a large part of) it fully ‘rebuilt’. Ideally with NPCs in some of the key spots.
GW2 really needs several jolts of nostalgia

Gone for good after Halloween 2Ø12.
A shame fun things could not simply be fun.

That’s kind of what I was looking for with this. I don’t think ANet would go for having it fully rebuilt, but you can still get plenty of nostalgia from just walking through the ruins I would think. NPCs would be nice as long as they weren’t just copypasta from GW1

@lordkrall and Dark Saviour: Actually, very little of the ruins are gone compared to the start of GW2. People only thought they were destroyed because they were hidden beneath the wreckage of the Breachmaker.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
