I just did a chapter of PS that had me visit LA,and it was really bad.
Before LA was destroyed,having PS instances show the city in it’s current state was a really nice feature.
But now the city is deserted and it just isn’t working.
I’m sent to the Vigil station there, when there is no longer Vigil or any of the other orders and all have abandoned the city.If the events were unfolding in present time
I should be ordered to report to the Vigil keep.
Later on I will get to defend LA from undead invasion and that will play out in the ruins.These are events of the past.You can’t have these play in the current version of the world.
You need to let PS instances in LA show the city as it was before the attack,or you have effectively destroyed a large portion of the PS.
You have to do the same for all PS instances that are affected by the changes that LS
brings to the world.That’s a good compromise.Just the instances.No need to rewrite PS story chapters,and no need to use phasing technology.
Inconsistencies with events of the past unfolding in present times,and instances of older versions the world available is a standard in MMOs,some games try to work around that one way or another,but this is the first time that the environment where the events unfold in is in total contradiction to the story line.

Aye, the main issue right now is that the basically only have one version of the maps on the servers, and as such the Personal Story is using that version, which doesn’t make much sense.
So just “having them use the old map” isn’t as easy as it sounds.
They have however commented on this issue and said that it will be explained/fixed in the future.
