Yeah I feel the same way, quality was much, much better.
I have to agree. Pretty much every line from every NPC and the Commander was delivered with nuance and conviction. I did the story with a friend and our /p comments consisted of a lot of lol’s at the phrasings that were so true to character (so not just the VA’s did great, the writers really zeroed in on the personalities).
Lazarus sounded fantastic, and believably powerful. Then Taimi’s punchline at the end was done just right.
The voice acting was way more coherent here than in previous story episodes. Previously it sounded like they were given the lines at random times with no context, this time it seems more like they were given a full script.
I can’t agree more. Bringing back our “voice” to the game has increased the game so much for me. Immersive and RP/story wise. Running all my chars (all races included) through LS2 was so boring without their voices. HOT brought that individuality and life back!
I take the sacrifice of faster updates for this which adds on to my “char” and “story” that I created at launch of the game. Best move ever Anet.
