Plant Slayer Achievement
You are right…I guess an oversight by Anet.
Same reason that risen hyleks don’t count towards hyleks.
Good catch. Didn’t notice they weren’t counting, but I think I already got that slayer achievement. I’m guessing a lot did too since few noticed it wasn’t counting.
Hopefully, ANet will address or fix that soon.

Husks, sylvari, Plant Wolves have never contributed to Plant Slayer, not even the ones that have been around for years. They are their own entity. Pretty much the only things that do count are Oakhearts and the like.
They should just add a Mordrem Slayer achievement.

For the same reason that Dry Top and Silverwaste do not count as Maguuma for the purpose of the daily. I believe that reason is simply because either nobody thought to, or simply didn’t want to, update old code to include new areas and enemies.

Same explanation as for Risen Giants not counting towards the Giant Slayer track, those are Risen. Therefore, Mordrem Husks are Mordrem and not Husks, afaik, there are no specific Dragon minion slayer achievements(with the exception of Risen).

Dry Top has a distinct background on the character select screen, suggesting it counts as a different region from Maguuma (I’ve never done this in Silverwastes, but I assume it has the same one).
