Purpose of Killing Scarlet again?
The battle and the story are separate entities, the last section is mainly for story, the knights and holo are for difficulty + rewards

Oh I’m sure plenty of players will enjoy stomping Scarlet over and over and over again…
The purpose is to get rid of a hated character in a storyline…..the writers could have just make her get thrown in a maximum security jail or something, but they choose to appease the masses by killing her off…….. it also allow the next villain in the storyline to get the limelight and away from Scarlet…….. if you have been in Scarlet’s End instanced, you will know that Braham did not even cared about why Scarlet is doing all this when offered the chance to by Scarlet……that is from a storytelling point of view of “we don’t want you to know everything yet” kinda situation…..
2 birds with 1 stone storytelling…….
I am sorry but I don’t see the point personally. Once is enough for me, however I have done it several times to see if there is any better loot, but no. Plus its not that hard really. The only reason you would see me in LA now is to complete the achievements.
The rewards from the holo are meh at best, the champ train in Frostgorge Sound provides far far better loot, far far quicker.
Looking forward to the next event, hopefully its harder, loot is better and a less buggy release. Anet take your time next time please.
The reason it’s repeatable is that there is an achievement which people probably don’t get the first time.
1) The achievement to stomp her before her shield goes up, as others have pointed out
2) The sheer enjoyment of stomping her for being annoying…
“It does not matter now.” <—Braham, A-Nets low budget LS ending.

Giggity
We killed her to stop the giant drill breaking open the ley line.
Unfortunately we were too slow, because the AFK people weren’t helping.
Those AFK’ers are terrible people.. they killed us all.

This!
Getting rid of that horrible twig was one of the few feelings of accomplishment I got through the whole living story.
