Guild Wars 2

This debacle has REALLY left a bad taste in my mouth. I loved the living story. This has been my first two months in GW2 and I’ve been loving every second of it. And then my personal experience builds to this incredibly disappointing anti-climax, based on a typo.

I know it’s probably not that big of a deal, but the fact that I didn’t get to complete the Flame and Frost living story arch REALLY bums me out. It saps my energy and motivation to keep playing and investing myself in future updates. I really wish you’d put the epilogue back in game for a time so that people who missed the window based on your own error could get the last achievement and feel some sense of accomplishment and conclusion for their efforts.

This just leaves me so disappointed.

Honestly I am disappointed too! I did everything and now there is this black achievement… I mean what would it hurt to leave it till when they originally said

Hi everyone,

We understand the frustration about not having enough notice to claim the achievement. The original date given for the Epilogue was incorrect, and while we corrected date in forum posts and on the website, some did not see the updated information or have the time to collect that achievement.

We will put the bonfires back in the game tomorrow, sometime during ArenaNet office hours, so players who missed out can get the Rallying Flame achievement. The bonfires will not give any buffs, however.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

EDIT: The bonfires will remain in-game until May 28.

PS its almost quitin’ time and this still hasn’t been fixed.

Please do not create duplicate threads for which there is already a thread. A thread already exists that answers your question, getweirder.
