I was not present for LW S1, but I’ve purchased the pieces of Season 2 I was missing, as well as HoT, but I’m feeling a little lost even after watching a few videos about the first seasons story. I have the general idea of what went on and in what order, so I’m not feeling lost on the big picture, but in terms of the characters that were introduced (I’ve heard someone call them Destiny’s Edge 2.0), I have questions that went unanswered by anything I read or watched.

1) At what point does the protagonist (your character) become “boss” to this group? It was my understanding that right up until the end of season 1, these characters had never worked in a complete group together, but rather were seen by themselves or with one other character at a time (Braham & Rox / Marjory & Kasmeer). Obviously I wasn’t there to see it, so I don’t know at what point they all met one another and their relation to one another really… gelled, shall we say.

Playing through Season 2 and not having seen that, I find it awkward to be referred to as Boss and not really know at one point the protagonist becomes this figure in their eyes. I could see if they were all working for the pact perhaps, but it was my understanding they aren’t directly affiliated with it. Perhaps someone can help me understand that point.

2) Kasmeer’s hiccups – I watched the cinematic from the end bit of season 1 and noticed that. I just assume that must be one of the details of her character that may or may not pop up again, but was that discussed/touched on in some dialogue before that point?

I’m fairly certain I’ll have more questions, but those are just the two I had on my mind right now, and I’ll probably add them to this post as I go. For the moment I’d be grateful if someone out there could fill me in.

I found myself in the same boat 3 months ago when I started playing again after missing all of Season 1.

1) Around Queen’s Jubilee is when the group dynamic starts comes together. Origins Madness is when Taimi comes into the picture and the group really gells.

2) Kasmeer mentioned that she hiccups when she’s frightened. (I think during the last story mission for Origins of Madness). That’s about it from what I remember.

You mentioned you will probably have more questions…I highly recommend taking the time to watch these videos made by the youtuber WoodenPotatoes. He made through recap/replay/analysis videos at the time of every Season 1 event. It’s over 6 hours of videos, but I don’t think you will find a more thorough recap of what happened in Season 1. He made them at the time of the events, so it was cool listening to what the community was speculating at the time. Made it feel like I was experiencing the content vicariously through him. Like I said, I missed all of Season 1, but I was able to answer your questions off the top of my head after watching his videos.

Thanks for the link. After watching all of those it helped fill in some gaps, but overall it seems like some things just had to be experienced. Even with what was in those videos, Taimi feels like she has the least grounding among this group of new characters since she gets added toward the end, and isn’t even present for the showdown with Scarlet. The fact that she shows up in the dead end bar isn’t something that’s entirely believable for me. The others, sure. They kept running into each other, and it’s clear that your character is meant to be the glue that binds them. It’s just like introducing one group of friends to another works out in real life. Sometimes they just click. Taimi had the least screen time, and just felt tacked on. That being said, she’s still very likable.

So, I’ve got to ask. Does Woodenpotatoes have a similar series on Season 2? I’ve only just gotten into the second episode of Season 2, and the way that they came to the conclusion that it’s Mordremoth felt botched. Just as Woodenpotatoes said in his S1 epilogue video, nobody has any reason to conclude it’s him, much less know his name. And yet, somehow your character just comes out at the start of episode 2 with this idea that it’s him, and the other characters just accept this notion, as if they too know the name. I’d like to hear any thought Woodenpotatoes has on the subject, because he seems like he’d pick up on how awkward that is as well.
