I think this change was shortsighted. All you have done is make people just wait to go to Jormag and do other world bosses while a few get the event to the end and get the same reward as those who did the entire event. How is this far?

What you should have done is either reward people for doing the entire event from crystals to end or pause other world events when Jormag spawns. This isn’t fair to those who do the entire event.

*Note: Sent while I’m waiting on the SB to spawn and then go to Jormag at the 15 min mark.

It’s not a (intended) change. It’s a bug.

The entire open world is unfair like this. It’s far too easy to exploit the work of others due to the shared system. For example, watch someone solo a champ, hit it once before it dies and get the same share of the loot. Yesterday I logged into a 1% hp shadow behemoth, hit it once and got gold contribution.

People have been tagging and running events since the start of the game, simply because the system allows it. If I run through a zone gathering and killing mobs in the way, I can usually get 5 or so event completions in 30-60 min without ever seeing an event, just because I killed a mob on the event’s path.

Nope, it’s an intended change. See below from the patch notes.

Update 3 – 25 June 2013
General
We’ve updated the game to fix several bugs.
Guild Wars 2 Wiki Notes
Claw of Jormag restores health at the second stage. The mound to the east was also removed, a popular position for players to attack from.
Volunteer prompt for autobalancing in sPvP has been reworded.
Build: 20,116

As to your other points, yes they happen, but none as egregious as Jormag.

Also, why make the longest world boss longer when you have world bosses like the FE and SB that literally take less than a minute?

It’s a bug. Don’t use the wiki which is wrong half the time, use the official update notes.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/events/Jormag-goes-to-full-health-in-second-stage/first#post2293988

We’re looking into this, no changes were made to the encounter that I know of, so it sounds like some unrelated change might have introduced a bug. And as we’ve stated several times, we simply don’t have time or manpower to answer every single post, so it doesn’t mean that we’re ignoring an issue if we don’t reply right away. : )
