Guild Wars 2

Okay, so… LS S2, Episode 4 brought us the Challenger Cliffs. There was a cave on the west part of the surrounding mountains, guarded by many mordrem and blocked by vines. Inside, you can see some veteran mordrem mobs and some planty thing.

Is there anything happening? Ever? What do you think, is this cave in any way important?
I just have two thoughts going on in my mind:
a) It could open when HoM is out and lead to Verdant Brink
b) As you can see on the Historical Guide to Tyria, it’s directly above Ventari’s Refuge… maybe it’s the cave where Ventari found the Pale Tree seed? Okay, it’s not very likely, but whatever xP

A few months ago I was curious about that spot, and I started killing all the mobs around there, and after I killed the last tendril that’s outside the cave the vines actually cleared way, and inside were a few vet mordem wolves and more vines, maybe a couple of husks, and lastly one of those little chests like the ones in random places in other maps.

I couldn’t get the chest opened though as I couldn’t kill all the veteran mobs fast enough; they’d keep interrupting me too. Eventually the vines shut and I got trapped, overwhelmed and died. I haven’t bothered trying for the chest again since.

Got the chest with a friend a while ago. Totally not worth it …

I wouldn’t be surprised if they eventually expand it, maybe in HoT. Could even be one of the paths to the new area, perhaps.

I guess it could also just be a cave for an extra chest and never intended for anything else, though. Totally not worth it if that’s all its ever going to be, though, as others said. I got it once way back when it was new, but there are much, much easier chests to find around the world than fighting your way through a dozen mordrem and the vets in the cave itself.

Just a small detail, it wasn’t Ventari who found the seed, but it was Ronan.
