S3, Expansion 2, and Your Idea for both
Season 3: Wrath of Tyria
My thoughts on season 3 are this: what is going to happen when the regular folk of Tyria – farmers, merchants, city guards, etc. – learn of the Sylvari’s ‘betrayal?’ Obviously, The Pact knows that they weren’t in control of their actions, but will the rest of Tyria be so quick to forgive?
The season would center around the pact trying to keep the peace and keep the already weakened Sylvari from being wiped out entirely. At the same time, many of the Sylvari that feel to Mordremoth’s sway will reawaken and have to rebuild the trust they lost.
This wouldn’t be the season that would lead to the next expansion. I think there should be a season 4 before expansion 2.
Everything will be fine, as long as they stay away from cliche Elder Dragons/magic/leylines trio and leave the cringy LS characters behind.
Start of LS S2 was pretty good, untill the killer was revealed to be some random crazy sylvari.
As for the expansion, I’d like Isles of Janthir the most with dragons, magic and leylines taking far background. Or Elona/re-visiting Kaineng City.

Frankly, I consider myself to be an explorer – I want to see what the previously never before seen areas on the map look like. Give me anything set on the Isles of Janthir or perhaps even right outside the main map (like Eye of the North in GW1) and I’ll be happy!
For expansion 2 I’d like to see a plot surrounding the Crystal Desert / Elona.
I think it would be really cool if during Season 3 while we’re messing about with bandit stuff, another Elder Dragon – Kralkatorrik – is mysteriously destroyed by an outside force. Maybe we find out via Glint’s Egg unexpectedly absorbing more power.
We head to the Crystal Desert to investigate, only to find out that none other than Palawa Joko is responsible. As it turns out, leaving Zhaitan’s corpse in close proximity to this undead lord was a bad idea. Through studying ancient magics, Palawa has found a way to harness Zhaitan’s lingering power, and has conscripted the remaining Risen forces into his own army.
With his new ability to absorb an Elder Dragon’s power, coupled with his larger than ever army, Palawa Joko’s natural goal was to take on even more power. His first target would be the next closest Elder Dragon, residing in the neighbouring Crystal Desert: Kralkatorrik. Joko is of course successful defeating this dragon (who is still wounded after his encounter with Destiny’s Edge), and is currently building the most dangerous army Tyria has ever faced… it’s up to us to stop him.
I’d really like to see a plot that doesn’t revolve around fighting dragons. I think they are weak as an antagonist (“they’re forces of nature! they’re big! they do stuff! we don’t know why!”) and honestly after the first two dragons, I’m already sick of fighting them. I also think the branded are a lame enemy archetype and I’m not that interested in a bunch of too-purple zones.
I’d much rather see a plot revolving around a real antagonist, with personal motivations and personality. Joko is the perfect candidate. He has already established lore, resides in a beloved area of the game, and due to proximity he’s a natural enemy of Kralk. Everything fits!

Tbh I did like the idea that Joko could be involved in a CD themed content update and I do think its plausable we could go that direction too, both mantle and desert are seemingly possible candidates, who knows, we may even get both.
Though with Joko I always liked the “enemy of my enemy” mentality, I like the idea that Joko is an anti-villian more than a flat out antagonist, someone you hate, despise, and want to deal with, but know you may have to work with him to defeat the Elder Dragon.
I think the idea of an undead army being on our side for a change would be an interesting twist.
LS3 will deal with the Mursaat. It will be revealed that the Asura were a slave race of the Mursaat.
have our character take place treahearne position as a marshal of the pact.
to see livia return as a lich using the scepter of orr and learning to controll a small undead army to help Kryta, that at the moment is being invade by the white manthe and some murssat that are returning from the mist in full force. In these desperate times the queen should make full peace with the charr and make evonhawk a big city more than a fortress, even going in to the desert seeking a safer place only to find a war between palawa joko and Kralkatorrik
we can have desert to dicover a new dragon to kill a new race to play posible mursaat or tengu depends on how the story goes and even the posiblity to go to elona in the future
LS3 will deal with the Mursaat. It will be revealed that the Asura were a slave race of the Mursaat.

Seeing The White Mantle showing up, them and the Mursaat and the Isle of Janthir would be fun.
If….some kitten questions are finally answered like the Scepter of Orr, etc.

Get rid of Raids, make new maps, make new challenging map metas, make new 5 mans, oh and in case you didnt see it the first time stop wasting resources on raids.

PS Stop making Raids
Keep raids, make new maps., make new challenging map metas, make new 5 mans, make more raids.
PS Raids are awesome and don’t detract from any other part of the game considering 6 people have made all 3 raids while everyone else is doing other things.
Fixed it for you.

My idea for expansion 2 maps:
Honestly i hope they’ll stick to HoT content longer. My personal favourite of all game environments is the jungle. I love jungle and i can’t help it! I certainly don’t want any more snow regions (Shiverpeaks) , don’t want any more plain fields (Kryta). and hell no to any autumn maps (charr zones).
I do look very forward to more vertical maps full of small nooks and crannies. I guess a kinda zephyrite style mountains – with switching between going inside complex cave systems intervowen with numerous light beams from outside the mountain directed inside it, and full of outside climbs with winds playing major role would be cool. Something chinese styled – that’d be acceptable lure for me to get next xpac And ofc proper forestly there as well, need my greens to stay healthy!
Strange enough, the area where HoT is located was a sinkhole for anything remotely funny in GW1, and it pretty much stayed wickedly wrong in many ways in my opinion(although it did improve). Everywhere, and I mean really everywhere was a group of spiders or scorpions waiting to jump you, slowing and immobilizing you all the time.
I would like to see something pirate/bandit themed, or something Tengu samurai like. Or preferably both.^^
Some ties to GW1 would be nice.. I would like to see the raid story tie in somehow. Maybe if they just made an NPC that people could click on and showed a short cut scene like they have for the FOTM to explain the story and go through wings 1-3.
