[SPOILERS] "I saw a dragon"
That and you hear a rumble. There’s also the possibility our character is confused and through progression of the story we will suddenly start making out the details. You hear that a lot especially surrounding UFO cases where people dwell on what they saw and begin picking out new details weeks, months, or even years down the road. We could revisit this vision to a larger extent or the Pale Tree could enlighten us further. However, the ominous feeling of that oh so beautiful and common saying, “When you look into the Abyss, something looks back.” It was present and I think that’s what our characters are basing their best estimated guess on.

I think it’s possible that our PC will experience flashes/visions as a result of our exposure to the machine, and that will place us more central to the plot, like were were in EOTN.

That doesn’t look like scales to me at all, it looks more like rippling magical energy, or maybe vines. People keep talking about it being an eye, but aside from it being a large orb it doesn’t look anything like an eye to me.
Do they really need to draw a dragon and put a nameplate above their head to make you understand what it is? The blobs represented dragons and the one in the middle was the pale tree.

No one knows for sure what the middle one is, and we only think the orbs are dragons because the journal specifically states they are. There are lots of theories floating around as to what else the 6 orbs could represent, as well as what exactly the middle orb is (Tyria? Magic? The Pale Tree? The Universe itself?)
The Pale Tree is actually a 7th dragon. Nailed it. We can all go home now.

Y, the 6 orbs is a dragons, everyone has different colour: black-Zhaitan, purple-Kralratorrik, blue- water dragon “bubbles”, red-Primordus, white-Jormag, green-Mordremoth; and You can see the green one falls into the center ball, so its mean Mordi attackin Tyria/Controlling Pale Tree or something like that

No I just didn’t personally interpret it as a dragon. I saw it more as the orbs crashed together (to me, representing Zhaitan being destroyed, or Mordremoth attacking) and corruption spreading. I didn’t see an eye, or any scales, or anything dragon-y. I just wondered if I’d missed something completely obvious. I just felt like, as I am the player, she came out saying “I SAW THE DRAGON!” and that isn’t what the real me sat here saw.
I also don’t see how every character in the game see the middle as the Pale Tree. I look at it and that’s FAR from what I would have thought first. I just found it really weird to have my character/the NPCs interpret something a way that seemed odd to me.

I understand your pov, it was really abstract which is what they were going for. Probably not to give spoilers to what the dragons look like and lock them into a personal design of them.

Yeah I understand the abstract nature of it (which I liked). I was just confused to whether it was intended for me (irl) to not really feel I had seen the dragon as my character claims to have. I hope PopeUrban is right in that it’s not supposed to be clear and we will get snippets of visions to explain why we, personally, are apparently ‘caught up in it all’ and central to everything.

I assumed they were referring to the orbs. I see it now. Although, I did not see it from the picture in Scarlet’s room.

There is clearly a tree midway through the video, not talking about the globes. As far as the middle globe, no one knows for sure what it is, but it seems to morph from the vision of the tree.

See my post above yours ^
is there a “Shadow Elder Dragon”?
I get what they were going for with the orbs. They’re meant to represent the dragons.
Doesn’t explain why your character outright says “I saw a dragon”. No, you really didn’t. You saw a vision of orbs which could be interpreted to represent the dragons. Actually "seeing a dragon’ would be something more like the Sylvari starter quest, where you literally see a dragon. Seeing an image which represents a dragon =/= seeing a dragon.
Same end result, mind, but it’d probably make more sense to more people if the character said “I saw orbs which I believe to represent the dragons”. Because that’s actually what you see.
I think the cutscene was supposed to convey an “impossibly big and beyond understand dudes I just saw EVERYTHING on a new level of experience beyond our own” feeling – so things were seen in abstract/higher terms that show the world more as in terms of a math equation/system than a photograph.
Saying “I saw the dragon” was our characters interpretation of that – however, they could have FELT that it was the dragon, not just interpreted visual data, they might have simply KNOWN it – although if these experiences are all truths is itself open to interpretation.
This was enlightening…I thought the middle orb was Tyria as we know it in GW2 and the other orbs represented GW3, GW4, GW5, etc. :P Joking.
it’s a giant dragon eye staring at you rather angrily. when you refuse to leave, he growls to see if you get scared and leave him alone :P
only one of those sentences was intended to be serious.
