i’m not even interested in the sword and that’s exactly what i thought when i saw that, lol.

I’m still bummed that they aren’t having unique skins as rewards for the achievements. That would make trying to ensure all of Marjory’s abominations survive actually worth the attempts.

Agreed. one of the main reasons I did living story was for special skins.

Well, I can only think of 3 possible ways to get that sweet nodachi skin:

1) Gem only, same for Biconics’ weapons;

2) If Zayd Akira & Erukk are right in their theory on how Mordy corrupts: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/s2/What-is-that-Vine-doing-to-the-WP/page/7#post4203633 , in typical AN’s tragedy, we may have to assist Jory to put her plant-zombified Belinda to rest and get the skin for achievement reward; OR

3) my most desired way (pwetty pwetty plse AN): now, this will be VERY uncomfortable for most of you who has completed personal story, for the sake of bringing forth my 2 points of consideration. Try to recall a necro who wields a GS during battles in personal story. That’s it, don’t have to recall his name. That’s point number 1, a necro who CAN wield a freaking GS
Now bear a bit more with me. His GS is bestowed upon him by his mother, after the previous GS owner, who happens to be a sibling of that necro, died. That’s point number 2, mummy takes GS from dead sibling and give it to less desirable child.

Fast forward to present story arc. To be in context of current theme of history repeating itself, including dragons’ awakening, Jory, a necro & the perceived leader of the gang, is paying a visit to her mummy bcos her sis Belinda KIA’d

During the funeral, Jory’s mummy drops the bomb, “The Delaquas come from a long line of maguuma dragonslayers. Since Belinda is gone, and your other siblings are conveniently written out of picture, I have not much choice but to bestow this legendary sword (I shall call it ‘Tekken-Yaki’ ) to you. Tekken-Yaki is a sister sword of Sohothin, but to activate it’s true power, you’ll have to raise it up with your right hand and shout ’FOR DA HONOR OF STONEMIST!!” and follow by “I AM SHE-MAN!!”. yeah, that’s how we Delaquas roll." There, Jory fulfills point 1 by both being a necro and carries a GS, and point 2 by taking over the GS from her dead sibling via her mummy.

Ok back to story. Jory reluctantly follow suits, and the Biconics are amazed by the display of awesomesauce. This also effectively binds everyone in the gang:
Braham – That’s one sweet sword! Me gusta!
Rox – Her sword is cooler than Rytlock’s. I want to join YOUR warband Jory!!
Taimi – * must get closer to that nodachi and do research on it *
Kas – I…I’m confused. But it’s Jory! Now she is more delectable with that GS!!

The previous GS wielding necro is so impressed that he hands over the Pact’s leadership to Jory and the gang shall move on to kill another dragon with the Pact. At the end of LS season 2, Mordy becomes mouldy, PC gets the sword for reward as “Champion of Maguuma”. That will be so sweet.

Okay, I need to go to sleep. Anet please, please consider no. 3 as the way to get the sword skin ^^

Nah. I saw a Charr making off with a mysterious sword-sized bundle toward the southeast. Guy seemed familiar. I wonder what was that all about?

It does look nice and subdued compared to the rather flashy and downright gaudy weapon skins we normally see. I would like to see this available to players at some point.
