I must say, I’m LOVING LS season 2 here.

I noticed, however, its filled with scenes that are very sad, in a way previous stories of the game havent been. For instance, when our favorite apple seller sacrifices himself, it didn’t feel… real…

With this release, it started with Dabnia. The poor girl, once engaged to a man who was too good for her. I wanted to tell her “No way girl, you’re awesome, that guy was a loser!!”

Seriously.

Since then, there was two items in Fort Salma; first, our two quaggan lovers who are desperately trying to get out, and find just one safe place in the world, and then, of course… well, the very end of the Fort Salma story instance, if you know what I mean.

And then, there was this scene I stumbled on in Prosperity:

I like this. It’s rare to see video games convey emotion in a meaningful way, and some of the scenes in this update did it really well.

The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.

I expect that elixer of heroes fell from his hand when the vines arrived :p

You know, when the vine erupted from the ground, he probably tried to lunge for it.

Have you ever seen a quaggan lunge for anything?

On Land?

It’s not pretty.

Wait a minute, did Bloomanoo and Peneloopee die at Fort Salma, because that would make me sad.

Also, I kind of want to know what the story is behind Dabnia. Was she in Season One?

We don’t know if they lived or not, but if you stop a minute at the very beginning of the story, they will have a dialogue about how terrified they are and how they think they may never find a safe place to start their pod, then ran to hide inside a building. My thoughts, no, they aren’t dead.

What I think is going to happen, either A) they will have a happy ending, or the male is going to die and the female is going to go full out hulk.

As for Dabnia, I don’t think she has been in the game prior to dry top, but I agree, I want to know her story too.

They are not shown as dead. The last we see of them they are going back inside the house there. The house is outside the fort proper which is where most of the damage is, so I’m guessing still alive at this stage.

Why make sense, when it’s so much more fun to make nonsense?

Phew! I had my heart set on happening upon them surrounded by little baby quaggans one day. There can never be too many baby quaggans. Lol.

Of all the couples who deserve to be happy in this game, please stop traumatizing those two.

At some point I’d like to see them just flip out quaggan style and kick some serious Mordrem tail! Or show up to find them surrounded by Mordrem corpses and Peneloopee saying, “OooooOOoooooo Bloomanoo!”

To heck with Kas and Jory, everyone knows Peneloopee and Bloomanoo are the Living Story’s most kick kitten couple!

I would just like to say that Claw Island was emotionally moving to me twice (Whispers/Vigil). I’ve never been so fond of any character in the story as I was of the former.
