Shatterer new music
That music is not for his fight. During the first summer festival, called dragon bash it was the song used to promote the event. The holiday was a celebration of killing the dragon Lts. around tyria and featured a massive holographic Shatterer that would swoop around Lions Arch and roar.
They are referring to the song to remind players that the initial impressions of the shatterer were that it was an epic design for a mob and encounter (albeit absurdly simple). This patch is about restoring the shatterer’s glory and so they linked back to this song to remind people of dragon bash, their initial encounters with the shatterer when they explored blazeridge, and what he should be as a world boss.

They said that the Shatterer inspired that song – if you read the article linked to when they said such, you’d know the background and use of the song. It’s from Dragon Bash – back in summer of 2013 – which was a recreation of a fan-made song ‘spawn the dragon’ that was based off of The Shatterer during the 2010 demo at conventions.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
