Hold the Line/Precision Blade

Short story: these 2 achievements are impossible on certain professions.

Long Story: After many unsuccessful tries with my Warrior (always getting killed after ~3 min) I’ve resolved myself to use EVERYTHING to improve my survival chance, I used food, utility, every combat booster and allies-consumables (Seed Turret, Fire Elemental, etc). I still died after 3 min…but ehy…roundly 20 seconds later with all that….

I’ve known of thieves stealthing their way out of this or professions with very high AoE dps to kill mobs as soon as they sapwn, but what about the other professions?

Hold the Line is actually trivial. Sit in the back and let the NPCs die. Anise is immortal, so you only need to get the enemies to aggro onto her first, then she’ll tank them for as long as you want. Alternatively, it’s a standard wave event, so the next group of enemies will only spawn when the previous is killed. Leave one the melees alive and simply run around.

So far I’ve had the best luck with my condi necro. 4:10 with 40 kills. Probably could have done it but you can’t rally off mirror images.

Thanks. By staying back I at least got the achi of surviving 5 min but for the one about killing 50? I always get rekt after 30
Any tips (using warrior)?

You can do the same trick to kill 50 if you really want. To speed it up, kill them normally until Shadow escapes, at which points they become super powered, so kill the wave and back off prior to that and let Kiera solo them. When waves spawn, they will always run in a circle around the room and pause at the back, so you only need to stay in the back, then rotate to the front to avoid them. At the front, where the waves spawn and the NPCs should all be dead, use the revive skill on some of the NPCs; it doesn’t matter which or how many. This will cause Kiera to stop, assuming she was stuck to you due to being out of combat. The wave doesn’t stop for long, so they’ll be back around shortly after that revive at which point they’ll kill all the NPCs and Kiera should engage. Stay in the back and watch her solo them for a few minutes, then repeat. Just don’t try helping her kill them, since you’ll immediately pull the entire group.

To do the 50 kills normally, it’s simply a DPS race. I for example only had to deal with 1 powered wave, as my 50th kill was the same wave Shadow escaped. Professions with AoE blind spam will have a much easier time dealing with the stronger waves.
