solo it took me 45 minutes each story. i imagine it would’ve gone by much faster if i was in a full party. i might try replaying them with a group tonight, as i heard that i can replay them each day for rewards.
Well it’s totally up to us whether we do all the content as soon/fast as we can, or whether we take our time. We also know that each living story event is going to be around for a lot longer than in the past, so we’ve certainly no need to rush them.
Personally, I think you went through it far too fast and should have enjoyed the journey a bit more.
You can replay the Rox/Bram instances 1 per day per account and get the rewards…so thats 8,000 karma, 20 silver, 2 chances at rare event reward, plus combat drops…each day…
Those 2 instances are only going to be around for a month I believe…
I quite enjoyed this months living story and the rewards make it a nice bonus…

Do you do the mysterious objects?
You get 12(I think) interesting snippets of info that might be relevant to the final part 4 of Flame & Frost…
Short? All told, its almost five times the content of the previous living story content pushes.
Legitimately new enemies, periscopes/audio logs, finding all the drop points, the two new characters and their missions… Anet’s problem is still pacing.
Anet did their content a disservice again throwing all this out at once. They started out WAAAAAY to slow and now just threw out tons of stuff that could have been spread out over the next few weeks to keep the content in the gamers minds and keep momentum to the next update. In my opinion they should have added one part of this each week until the finale. Periscopes show up in week one… then Whispers guys infiltrate and leave coded messages in week 2… then Rox and Braham show up with their missions in week 3 that lead into the next part one or two weeks later.
As it stands now its just like the other releases… burn through it in a day or two and forget about it for weeks until the next chapter.
I’ve played the new content in an hour (all Achievments). Is this normal? It must be as short for a major update?
I found the story very nice but kept tremendously short. ’m Kinda disappointed.

I agree on this. I like the update, it adds new stuff, the soloable instances are there, not completely to my liking, but still good enough.
It was short though. I did the instances on my own, at what I thought was a slow pace, but I’ve finished most in about 2-3h. Even found the mysterious devices on my own (it wasn’t up on Dulfy by the time I was finished). That took up most of my time, just running around, pushing in CTRL while walking…
story-wise i’d have wished for more.
I did speak to all NPC’s, read everything they say, found all the secret spots by myself etc, but still it was pretty fast.
Sure, i could have stopped it after each NPC and wait a Day, but there isn’t much to do anyways.
It’s only 3 things to do (4 if you count the periscope things, but they don’t have a real story), so even if i only would do one thing a day, it still would be only 3 days รก 20 minutes (and as mentioned before, with reading and listening to everything)
I also could do the content again and again, but for me that’s not really fun.
In general i really like what they did, I only hope it’ll get more and more in the coming events in the living world.
Maybe even things that really get us busy until the next update comes in.
Example:
NPC’s in the world shouting out for help and each day we have to fight at another location or simply help doing X or Y there to slowly stop the evil getting closer to destroy everything and in the next update we’ll slowly start to fight them back over time, until we got them back far enough to start the final strike (aka the next update)
After that maybe a bit of cleaning up and helping npc’s to restore their villages etc.
And after that the next event in the world

No you only get the 12 box / bonfire drops 1st time you do it.
Usually get at least 1 rare equipment drop doing them, yellow(rare) molton salvage drops and heavy ritual bags got about a dozen of those last time I went though both Rox/Bram, those contain T6 crafting stuff.
But, to be honest it gets boring repeating it after a while and I am not sure the rewards are worth the grind…having done both 3 times each now…not like the Mad Kings Dungeon or the Lybrinth which were far better to do daily…
Should have given you a chance of a ultra rare drop like the choir bell at christmas or something…really…
Looking at the prices on the TP, you could get 1g-2g + 4,000 karma depending on luck running both Rox/Bram each day on a lvl 80 with no MF. It takes me 30-45mins solo…
