Hello, with the 40% off from the LS2 Package, i’m thinking of buying it, not only for the story ofc but for the Mastery Points also. I just played the game last November and i dont really know anything about LS2, all i know is its a story aside from Personal Story and HoT story.
Do you think i will just wait for the season 3?
If the season 3 came, will they stop selling the season 2?

Season 2’s story is mostly setting the stage for HoT’s story but the instances are nice both in terms of gameplay and story telling in my opinion.

They won’t stop selling season 2 but they will stop selling it at a discount for a while.

The important parts of season 1 are explained in season 2 so not really.
^This covers it really. But fair warning some of the achievements for season 2 are quite hard. And you can only do them on your second play through, if you want to do them with a different character you’ll have to play through the episode with that character, then again for the achievements, unless they’ve changed it, and I missed it in the patch notes.

There is a recap in LA – under “Scarlet’s War” in the story journal – which summarizes the points relevant to Season 2 and HoT.
The wiki has a fuller summary if you want to know the whole story of Season 1, since ArenaNet seems deadset on forever excluding a huge part of their story to new players.
