Silverwastes rewards are backwards
That’s the flaw with their contribution system, which only requires you to participate for 1%, in this case killing 1 enemy. If they actually had a contribution system, tagging and running would be pointless. It would cause other problems however.

What should happen is, as long as you complete an event in the zone, all participants should see the rewards so long as you remain in that circled area. So no more hitting a mob, and then leaving and waiting for others to complete it.
Which is pretty much the definition of leeching. But, because of the grind, I really can’t blame them. It may be leeching, but it’s also the most efficient means to grind organs and crests.

If you make it a circled area then you’ll NEVER convince dead people to waypoint and run back, since they won’t want to get screwed out of the reward on the run back.
I think the reward should be tied to the player contribution to the event, rather then the hit and run method used today.

You are actually correct, the number of crests is tied into the tower upgrade Tier as well as the Defense level tier. I also know for a fact that killing only one mob will not get you the full rewards, since on several occasions I’ve managed to kill a single enemy myself and get only copper or silver, and on copper you get no other rewards than the exp/karma/gold…you don’t get crests/sand and maybe an item.

It’s not RNG when you wait until the next episode as you get part-specific extractors. All armor boxes can be bought with crests as well.

Are you certain about this? I have gotten the bonus chest after only killing one mob. As well, I have seen a spread of crest rewards from all events that doesn’t seem to be tied to Tiers. For instance, 25 crests for escorting a dolyak during a tier 1 and fewer during tier 3-4. I always suspected that the crest reward design was intended to dissuade us from farming the events with the best crest rewards.

I paid attention last night to my rewards, and I was incorrect about getting crests/sand and sometimes the bonus item, which can be heirloom seed/shovel/gear, with only copper/silver participation reward, you still do. Also, I also paid attention to how many crests/sand you get and for the defense events it does make a difference on the Tier of the Fortifications at the forts. As for the Supply Bull escorts and clearing the Mordrem events, it does not appear to make a difference on what level the meta event is at for those particular rewards. I suspect the reason for escalating rewards in the defend events it’s to get people to complete the entire chain up to the Breach so it will reset…and people still say the escort and clearing events don’t contribute to the meta, but they do in a roundabout way.

From what I’ve seen, they don’t waypoint back regardless.

I recently died at the Indigo-Teragriffs (after killing Copper; jumped into the middle of the breach-hole and BAAAAM – instantly dead, probably because atleast 1 Teragriff was standing there, great fun) and realized on respawning that my buff from the extractor was gone (wtf? even more fun!).
As a result I took another extractor to be sure to receive the reward for the whole breach event, while it was already to late to get back. Next time I will also keep laying dead for the rest of the event.

i roam around to get chests and will finish an event if one is going on but i noticed tagging events wasnt getting me any shovels luckily there is plenty of people digging chests up or id be kitten outta luck
