So after I finished the point of no return, I noticed that the skritt who were building their underground ship in the silverwastes in the previous episode were still there. A map on their task board clearly shows how they plan to sail south and past Rata Sum, but I have not found any signs of progress on that side so far. I cannot see why Anet would introduce such a large storyline if it wasn’t planned to be continued, I mean it seems like too much work just for the beginning of a jumping puzzle.

Has anyone found something / has any theory if this skritt boat story could somehow link to Heart of Thorns?

Map actually shows opposite, skritt took the boat from somewhere around Rata Sum to that silverwastes cave. The arrow points to Silverwastes, not Rata Sum.

I’m sure there will be more about this boat later in the story, so far devs said it has an easter egg (dialogue appearing only at certain time at certain place) but I haven’t seen anyone posting it.

Easter egg: storm wizard, SAB? :P sab is coming back. That’s only easter egg i could imagine

I believe the easter egg is the meeting that takes place their sometimes…it’s a reference to a certain type of meeting they have at A.net.

And the shaman is only pretending to summon the storm, or something, I just remember getting the dousing wrong, she says she wants to keep progress stagnant, or something along those lines. We will finish the skritts plan, and then have them take over rata sum and force the storm wizard upon us.

Not sure how you expect a boat built upside down in a cavern far away from any sort of sea would sail anywhere.

They need more water buckets.

Uhm, have you actually done the whole jumping puzzle? If not, do it, and All Will Be Made Clear. If yes, do it again and pay more attention to the dialog.

Yes I have done the JP (duh) and yes I know about the dowsing rod and the storm wizard and basically everything except the topic. And btw that didn’t make it any more clear if you think the little storyline we saw in there was all there was to this.
