So... Dragons?
I feel like nothing is a problem in GW2, until it causes a major problem for Lion’s Arch.
Dragons are still threatening the rest of Tyria? Yeah well we took care of Zhaitan and the Karka so no worries, LA is safe! :P
We’re gonna have to hunt a dragon down and lead it back to LA. First, we need to make sure there’s a big barbecue in LA that day too so the dragon gets hungry and tries to eat everything there.
People need to understand that we actually expended most of our resources attacking Zhaitan, we are simply not ready to face another dragon yet, and since none of them are an immediate threat I don’t really see the issue.

We’re killing thousands of dragons every day in various game’s areas so i don’t think we’ll ever see dragons again.
By the way if a suicidal one come any day, i really hope they’ll work better on it than Zhaitan.
According to the “Upcoming Changes and Features” section of the GW 2 Wiki, no Dragons are going to be dealt with the whole rest of the year. Scroll to the “Mentioned” section.
Well, that’s a bit disappointing. I hope 2014 will bring a more interesting story development.

I’m also disappointed that instead of going to face the threats that GW1 introduced and GW2 built it’s whole premise upon, we’re dallying with the living story.

Hmm?
The only threat that GW1 really introduced (that is still active) is Primordus, and we have no idea about his whereabouts.
So I suppose you simply wants us to run around underground until we stumble upon him?

GW1 did introduce the concept of elder dragons awakening and their corruption. Perhaps you were being sarcastic, but I would be rather hunting and/or researching for Primordus than having an election. Maybe even meet some dwarves during the process. Maybe it’ll come eventually, but with this current pacing, we’ll die of old age before all the dragons are dealt with.
There is more to the world than just the EDs. If all we did was hunt EDs the plot would become pretty stale after the 3rd dragon or so.
There are still many other ‘threats’ from GW1 that can come up in the LS. The White Mantle, the Mursaat, the Centaur, the Foefire and the ghosts of Ascalon, the Krait… and thats ignoring other plot lines like the origins of the Sylvari, the druids and their fate, the other charr homelands and the inter Legion relations…
Theres alot apart from dragons that could be very interesting and will quite possibly be touched on by the LS.
Who cares about dragons? We have contract disagreements and a couple of murders taking up months of our time. We are too busy to pay attention to primordial forces awakening to devour the entire world, displacing entire regions of the planet and killing/converting anything that gets in their way. There’s also mini-games to play and platforms to jump onto. Living Story: taking the combat out of the MMO.
