Guild Wars 2

The final chapter of Scarlet is nearly over. Only one day remains, and my server has never managed to defeat all 3 Assault Knights whenever I’ve been able to participate. I have, of course, gone through to the final “Death of Scarlet” scenario through the “back door”. But it leaves me with questions:

1) I have never heard anything about a big battle with Scarlet herself… do we actually get to fight her if we defeat the Assault Knights? I hate to miss out on content just because I’m on a server that doesn’t coordinate random zergs well. (Wasn’t there a dragon down in Sparkfly Fen at one time?)

2) Why is Kasmeer hiccuping? Too much miasma? Or did she swallow a feather?

3) It still isn’t quite clear: why did Scarlet do everything she did? Apparently she needed to tap powerful magic ley-lines to awaken another Elder Dragon. But why she wants to do this is still not explained. …Is it?

Did I miss some stuff? Any important fights? Any new plot twists?

1. I don’t know, I’ve never bothered with it.

2. In a previous story, it was explained that Kasmeer gets the hiccups when she’s stressed.

3. They’ve not really explained it. They’ve dropped some pretty random hints, maybe (or they could be just garbage, it’s hard to tell), and a lot of people have theories about it. But no, it’s not been explained.

1) If all the knights go down in time, people can attune to the portals and get zapped up to the floating drill. Once there they fight a large hologram (prime, white color) and smaller ones (red, blue, and green) while avoiding lasers, force fields, and more lasers/aoes. Get the prime down far enough, it splits into 3 colored ones that need to die around the same time and each do annoying different aoes, and you need to jump in the correct color circles to do damage.

Get all -those- down and you fight a pile of mini primes for a bit, dodging more aoe and lasers, until it all goes on the fritz and Scarlet herself appears (I think, could just be a projection still) limping madly to the control room door. Then a large chest appears to loot and you have 5 minutes to follow her to the control room, which is the same thing you get via the back door portal.

I hope that helps! (The music for the holo battle, btw, is glorious. The last part has a sort of Lawrence of Arabia vibe in epic feel).

Wow. Guess I’ll have to hurry and guest to another server before the LS goes away forever. I’d really love to be able to participate in that!

(Whatever happened to upscaling/downscaling fights for the number of players involved? I am absolutely hating the way they’ve handled things like Tequatl and the Knights. I shouldn’t have to guest to another server all the time to enjoy a good fight and have a chance at winning.)
