So, those broken Waypoints
The Krewe assigned to repair the broken waypoints is on vacation. Or blown up in a lab accident. I forget which.
Actually, they got sadly stuck travelling to fix them when the great “freeze in time” happened, and every zone was locked at the point in time in the story when it was created.
So … nope. It’s unlikely anything will change in the existing world ever again.

Except that the Current Events still spawn, which are far later in time than any of the maps in which they spawn. So the time freeze doesn’t explain that.
I would like to see the broken waypoints fixed again, because there’s no significant reason why they should stay broken. Unless they were a partial response to complaints that there were far too many waypoints on the map and this is a way to cull a few down.
I mean, the only bad waypoint back then was in LA in the Under Construction phase, because it was really convenient (crafting, bank, trade all so within easy reach in that WP), so much so that it made the special passes useless. It was the only broken waypoint in LA back then when Mordy attacked.
The rest seem to be pretty benign in comparison.
They at least need to fix that one in southwest Brisban Wildlands, because it’s the only WP anywhere near that area unless you come in from Dry Top.
