Was just thinking,

Maybe glint was wrong about the Flameseeker Prophecies being complete.

Or the prophecy hinted at in the new trailer was not the Flameseeker Prophecy. There were quite a few prophecies made by different people/things in GW1, I think. Only one of the prophecies happened to be the title of one of the campaigns.

Edit: Apparently Nightfall was a prophecy as well. But the campaign, obviously, was just called Nightfall. Not the Nightfall Prophecy https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Nightfall_

Leader and sole member of the “Bring Penguins to Tyria” movement.

I was suggesting it based on some of the wording about the flameseeker prophecies that could point towards the current LS 3.

No Glint was not wrong about the Flameseeker Prophecies. That prophecy is complete. Take a look at this answer: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lore/Thoughts-on-the-new-prophecy-from-trailer/6650167

Considering Glint was the one that set the Prophecies forth, I don’t think she’d be ‘wrong’ per se. Additionally, since these are a collection of prophecies, and no one except Glint knew them wholly, it’s possible that they have not all been fulfilled.

However, given the lore as it’s been set forth (or so far as I understand it), they only pertained to the original GW1 campaign. Additionally, Glint tells us twice that the Prophecies (plural) have been fulfilled, so I doubt whatever prophecy is coming in the latest chapter pertains to the Flameseeker Prophecies directly.

All that aside, there is no reason why other prophecies couldn’t exist, from other sources, in the world of Tyria. We, the player character, just obviously isn’t aware of them (yet).

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

If they do a lore redcon, then yes. If they stay true to the original lore, no. I think we will get a new prophecy which has to be fulfilled. From who? only time can tell.

You know, I always found this page that was made on the wiki to be utterly stupid…

But since people seem to think there was ever only one prophecy foretold in Tyria, I guess it’s now found a use.

There are hundreds of prophecies. The line in the trailer does not refer to the Flameseeker Prophecies.

TL;DR

No, she was not. She made them, after all. She saw the events happen herself.

What we’re dealing with is a new prophecy. Likely the “Glint’s Legacy” prophecy that involves Aurene and defeating the Elder Dragons that the Forgotten pushed for.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
