So..whats next?
That thing is Mordremoth, one of the Elder Dragons.
So it is likely that we will start to work towards destroying it.
We will probably get a bit more information in the patch tomorrow.

YAY!!!! More Dragons!! Let me polish up my shouting skills….ow wait… XD
I don’t understand why we would go after Mordremoth straight away.
I don’t understand why we would go after Mordremoth straight away.
Because it woke up more or less in the backyard of two of the Major races capitals and it got supercharged from the Ley-line?

I think Anet will make a big mistake if they try to drag the confrontation with the dragon beyond Season 2. Two years per dragon should be plenty. That’s 10 years worth of LS updates.

we (the characters) do not know that he woke. we just know that the drill reached the ley lines and is crashing. We have no idea what is going on.
A new map of nothing but champions to appease the queensdale crowd.

I lol’d so much at that being someone who is in Queensdale alot (for some reason i really like crafting in claypool) I know exactly what the quoted poster means
But the point of this post – whats next (gonna be pretty long)
I think that after this battle for lions arch is complete the new story could start with there being a letter stating that the bandits have finished there bridge to the maguuma jungle and are becoming increasingly more powerful since.
we as the player will go to investigate this and try to cull there numbers, but when we get there we see a new type of centaur more savage than the harathi and perhaps the harathi themselves feel threatened, so they too are attacking these new centaur.
after we do this event we discover that the bandits and centaur are coming from the maguuma jungle and the more violent centaur are the ones from the woodland cascades. so we go to the location at the other side of the bandit bridge and all kinds of horrors await us..
the pact set up base to try and study what is causing this and discover that they are under the influence of something
we as the player then go deeper into the forest to find out that indeed they are under the influence of something. a new arch enemy appears and it is thought he is controlling these enemies a campaign starts to finish this guy off,
Eventually we find where his lair is and discover he is a lieutenant for an elder dragon, the elder dragon being mordremorth – - – - this should then lead into another PS where the pact DE and DE mk2 hatch a plan to destroy this dragon
this IMO is what i would like to see if i post enough hints on here maybe ANET will take notice lol
What do you think – maybe add you own ideas to it it might be cool
As characters we did not see Mordremoth awaken. We do not know where it is. Signs point to a jungle area but nothing says it in ‘our backyard’. If the dragon does nothing, why would we do anything? If it has a cataclysmic awakening, then why would it be any different to Jormag or Kralkatorrik. I believe we would go after Modremoth, but not straight away and definitely not in Season 2

Why not in Season 2? It’s true that other dragons in the world are currently awake and do not pose an immediate threat.
But what if Mordremoth poses a huge threat because of the large number of Sylvari in the world? He would need to be taken care of, lest Sylvari players drop dead.
hence why the idea i had did not imply we knew of the awakening as we dont actually now the dragon stirred when the drill hit the layline but the threat is coming from the jungle since the bridge was rebuilt in the story i pitched so they are moving in onto krytan turf so action would need to be taken even if at first they do not know what is causing it then they do discover it this is when action by the the two hero factions
The characters heard the roar though, and they are not stupid and thus can draw the conclusion (which they basically did in the latest release).

New patch reveals that they do know about the dragon. Some fat chick is investigating.
We kill sylvari and stack them like cordwood. Whack’em and stack’em.
Whatever happens, I hope they get the old writers from GW1 back doing the story, cuz GW2 & the LS.. uhhg..

Yes. It seems everyone heard the roar. The pact are investigating it confirmed by Laranthir of the Wild. And Seraph Belinda’s ‘mission’ to the brisband wildlands has me intrigued. I guess this is where I retract my statement. I’s sorry.
For me? uninstalling till zephyrs next showup. Scarlets death enticed me to login for a few days but as usual the story wrapup was a pitiful bar conversation. See you at zephyrs unless a new area pops up to explore.

She’s not fat! She’s voluptuous! Learn the difference.

Don’t forget that Mordie is more likely to target the Pale Tree than Rata Sum. Right now, her life and the life of the unawakened saplings are in danger of being extinguished.
We can’t let Glint’s fate befall the Pale Tree.

Or as we say in Latin America: She has curves.
She’s not overweight or flabby though. She looks too athletic to be fat.

In addition to this, IF Morde is connected to the nightmare, that makes him a far more immediate threat as the heart of the nightmare court is located fairly close to the grove.
And if he is connected to the nightmare court, he is the first dragon shown with the ability to corrupted Sylvari. That does not bode well, especially if Sylvari are Tyria’s response to the dragon threat as some think (myself included)
