This was sent via an observation by someone via PM. (Thanks ZeftheWicked!!)

YET during Aerin’s fight, he used grenades exclusively against us.

Abit of a clue that maybe Aerin wasn’t the one behind it?
Or did Anet fudge that up?

Killing people with grenades on a flying airship while trying to be stealthy would be rather stupid.

When we fight him on the other hand he has no need for stealth.

I don’t think Aerin is the cuprit at all. Yes, he went crazy, but I think there’s more going on.

It was hinted that Aerin was a soundless, but if I remember correctly, back at the Bazaar, he was acting very different from your general soundless Sylvari. He was excitable and cheery, and made several reference to the Pale Tree and the Dream. The Soundless are very quiet and contemplative, and want to be separated from the Pale Tree and the Dream.

I really hope Anet didn’t fudge it up and forgot that Aerin had a blade.
Would certainly make the story alot deeper than it is. But…i dunno….
maybe we’re reading too deep into it, but it does seem strange that
they did make a scene to specifically show that the victims were killed by blade.

I may have misunderstood too, but I believe they meant they were killed on the ship, and were dead before they crashed.

Ah. Yeah a few seems to have been killed on the ground.

But that would also explain the more stealthy approach, since he didn’t want to get attention while doing it. A big explosion with probably attract quite a bit of attention after all.

Don’t exclude the possibility of one more culprit.

I think the Master of Peace is rather suspicious. He might not have bee the one to kill people, but he could very well be pulling the strings.

After all, he is going on his journey, alone, as he said on the story mission. And no one should ask why or where he is going.

I think they were kiled by Kanach. He is an assasin and was bailed out by a noble lady. Did any one check on him lattely ? He might kill them because they were the Masters of peces personal guard. Regular zephyrites dont use armour and weapons but they do. Maybe the master of peace was power hungry for dragon energy and Kanach tried to do the right thing. And for for Aerin he might went crazy after being to close to Mothermooth. Maybe thats why he blew up the ship.

This.
The MOST suspicious person tbh is Master of Peace.
I have a very wild theory here…
The Zephyrites were rumored to be transporting Glint’s offspring right?
Could he be Glint’s offspring in human mode? I dunno if Dragons in GW can polymorph.

Everyone has an angle.
The Master of Peace eager to help Lion’s Arch with a festival that was meant to provide “distraction” for people after the events that felled the city. While Divinity’s Reach’s approach was with the Pavilion, it was actively collecting donations for reconstruction and relief.
This made it seem more like the Dragon Bash in that it was cover for something else going on in the Cliffs.
The only thing we saw in Labyrinthine Cliffs were loads of shady deals and evidence of suspicious cargo. The conversations involving Carden and Parker Cole.

Both are trying to unload what they have quickly. And Parker doing her best to avoid the Vigil. With all the different orders and groups that are involve with defending Tyria, she is worried about the one specifically antagonist to the Elder Dragons.
Carden goes from confident to downright scared at the prospect of having to hold on to whatever he is has.
Has anyone seen these two in this release, dead or alive? Are they hiding somewhere near or around Lion’s Arch or did they go down with the ship?

Speculation: Is the Master of Peace, “M” or the real villain?
No. Because taking out the his ships there was not his intent.
The work of a saboteur, that wasn’t Aerin.
His departure is suspicious. Their heading. The sense of urgency, having known the cargo that was on board and that they may have access to Glint’s legacy. He seems to be heading, as Farzo said, toward the Bloodstone.

My brain just broke.

Correct, Marjory points this out in the scene after talking to your character.

So, it could still have been done by Aerin prior to the ship blowing up. They could have caught him at his sabotage and he killed them to keep them quiet. You wouldn’t do that with grenades and bombs if you’re trying to be sneaky. Of course, considering the talking to himself, he really doesn’t come across as being the most mentally stable either, and could have simply done it because he saw them as ‘in his way’ or as a threat to ‘his’ plans.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

It would be interesting if Aerin wasn’t the bad guy…but do you remember? The vines(probably Mordremoth’s) were letting Aerin in and then closing themselves. And then even husks and hounds spawned. So I think Aerin really was affected by Mordremoth. If so – why would Mordremoth want to kill Master of Peace? What is he after? Something that can harm Mordremoth? Is it something about Glint? Or the bloodstone? I’m very eager to know.

According to the lore, Mai Trin supposedly escaped to the Edge of the Mists, but I haven’t seen her there at all. I personally feel that Scarlet did something more sinister to her (like used the pirate in one of her weird alchemy experiments). Maybe the crazy plant turned the pirate lady into a Scarlet clone and the Scarlet that we killed wasn’t the real one? Anything is possible.

Its interesting that the master of peace says “I am sorry you had to get caught up in my troubles”.

Not our troubles, as in the troubles of the zephyrites as a people, but his personal troubles as if the rest of the zephyrites mean nothing. They are not a part of his journey, they are just helpers or a convenience.

This, added to the dieing zephyrite who lied about the reason for the assassin’s attack on the master of peace suggests that he is involved in something big, perhaps ascending to replace glint.

My money is that the master of peace is glint’s child, having take on human form as a disguise. This would make the zephyrites his fanatical protectors and we did see at least one who died in ceremonial armour, suggesting he had a high guard of some sort.
