First off, let me just say WOW. Wow that ending cs!

But when I was watching the part with Destiny Edge falling off of the burning pact ship,
something hit me. The Player = Logan.

Your character had a personal duty/issue that they had to resolve and because of that they didn’t join the fleet in time. (And depending on what happened at the end, may have gotten Eir, Logan, Zojja, and Trahearne killed.) Your character abandoned them when they needed you. History just repeated itself.

Did anyone else get this vibe or am I just thinking into this too much?

Overthinking it. In the case of Logan, his absence meant Snaff could not be properly defended when Rytlock went to deliver the killing blow to Kralkatorrik. In the case of the player, your absence meant one fewer person was on the airship that got torn apart.

I was thinking of this WHILE doing the story. Didn’t cross my mind while watching the cinematic though.
As much as I believe my mesmer to be powerful, he would just simply die. Or even worse kill everyone else cause I am a sylvari.
They probably made you stay behind cause they couldn’t allow sylvari players to go there and not go all berserk on their allies.

We will probably later use Glint’s egg or something to fight off the control on sylvari, like we used the Deep See dragon orb to fight off the undead corruption. Then our player will be able to go and kill Morde

Our presence would not have changed the outcome, so no.

Maybe you could have told Trahearne it was a bad idea to…you know…just start shooting wildly into the trees like a madman(salad?) hoping to hit something.

Just saying, never doubt the power of the player.

edit: There is also the possibility that Mordremoth made him command the pact to do that. Mordremoth corrupts the leader of the pact, who just happens to be a sylvari, and influences him to make bad calls and doom the mission.
