Just a thought that ocurred to me.
Assuming that Rytlock didn’t die while traveling through the portal.
Commander of the pact, leader of the group of heroes who killed scarlet.
So we got the leading part.

After the pc leaves omadds machine he/she mentions that a dragon came at him/her and that he/she is somehow intertwined with the eternal alchemy.
A dragon coming at the pc? A metaphor for an attack?

My guess is that we will be seeing Rytlock pretty soon when the pc is being killed just to fight his/her way back out of the mists and back to the world of the living, taking the Tribune along.

Aside from that the death of any of the tyrian leader NPC’s would greatly impact the lore, the “boss” dying would be an epic tale to add with no real consequences to the political lore of Tyria.

That would actualy be pretty awsome.Maybe have us be under the efects of say one of the ascalonians potions or the other ghostly food thru out the entire episode untill the next one,where we finaly finish fighting our way out thru the mists.That would be pretty awsome,but it proly wont happen.

I can see this happening. Perhaps we go to the Mists and see Rytlock?

That could be far more interesting than getting another NPC killed.

For a small moment of the game our character can die, enter the mist, and maybe have a chance to enter the Hall of Heroes.

This would provide plenty of opportunity to meet old GW1 characters who have earned their place in the Hall of Heroes and maybe run into Rytlock as he trys to find a way back into the world of the living. Of course we may need Rytlock’s help as well to get back as well.

Interesting idea, but I doubt ANet has the … hummm… I guess you’d say “the spirit” to pull it off. (no pun intended) It would be a jump far and beyond what anyone’s expecting them to do, and it runs the risk of upsetting a lot of people. (“Why wasn’t I given a chance to win that and survive?”)

Still, cool idea.

Oh my god, if they did this they could give us a portal stone that takes us to the Hall of Heroes, and could easily give us housing (both personal and guild) there. C’mon Anet, you know the Hall of Heroes is perfect for such a thing!

Erm… sorry. My bad. Seriously though, combine this with the idea that Rytlock might meet Rurik in the Underworld and have Rurik cleanse the Foefire and I’d be sold.
