LS2 will be completely different to the failing LS1.

I guess the first thing they present in LS2 is to bring back the least liked
parts of of LS1. Makes total sense

Mai is not. Aetherblade pirates are still around and she is the leader of them. She and the Aetherblade pirates are in heavy cooperation with the Inquest.

Ah, then I apologise. I haven’t seen any new threads specifically about it and didn’t exactly bother going through all of the comments in the ones I was ’’following’’.

The first one sure is Kasmeer’s, but the second one isn’t Marjory’s. I think it’s Rox’s, but I’m not sure.

Hmm, Rox would make more sense. Charr probably aren’t too fond of Asuran “googlymoogly” or whatever was said there.

It is rox. An i thing the inquest blow up the ship. They are after draconic energies and Tami stated that there is some wierd energy on the red sailed ship.

I think so too…either the Inquest (Braham walloping in Inquest golem), or the bandits (the highly suspicious NPC Carden dresses a lot like a bandit), or even the Nightmare Court (Trader Aerin, I’m looking at you!).

The whole thing stinks of Sinister Triad, and I’m now going to do the same silly thing I did on Reddit and shout, “Detective Hats confirmed!”

Hmm…a guildmate has suggested something I hadn’t considered. If you hang out with Taimi and chat with her, she’ll tell you the Zephyrites won’t allow Scruffy on board the air ship because his power source interferes with their crystals.

Is it possible the Zephyrites took on some cargo that was dangerous in ways they hadn’t expected?

Yes, Taimi when alone with Scruffy actually says she’s getting weird readings from the Sanctum. So there must already be something suspicious on board. Be it Glint’s offspring or bombs or something.

I’m not sure how you confuse Rox’s voice and Majory’s, since they sould nothing alike. I don’t think the first one is Kasmeer, tho.

ArenaNet actually outright stated that the alliances Scarlet made are still around, their leaders still alive and unknown to us players, and that they may come back in the future.

We only know of Mai Trin, leader of the Aetherblades, and where she’s hiding out: in the Edge of the Mists. The Molten Alliance and Toxic Alliance? We don’t know where they decided to retreat to, exactly.

Also, how is the first quote evidence of Glint’s offspring? Something could be anything.

Darc, you realize that the Inquest worked with Scarlet herself after the Thaumanova Reactor situation, right? As we see them working with her a year after. They don’t give a scrawny skritt behind about such things – it’s not stupidity, it’s lack of morals.

They worked with her on her projects, Much like the role of contractors. However, I can’t imagine them hiring her to work on of their projects.

Unless their goal was to use her different thinking patterns to discover more things – y’know, “work with” her, to take her ideas later on.

The Inquest are often – if not always – presented as a “get knowledge, no matter the cost.”

For record scarlet didn’t blow up thaumanova reactor she just helped make it go critical which in reactor speak is to turn it on. The inquest are the ones who put it in and uncontrolled reaction.

Typically, the price is paid by others. It makes no sense to destroy yourself. Your knowledge is pretty useless if your dead.

No, he’s not. The words are not spoken audibly, but posted below the sound clips. I got excited when I saw them, but I think that’s just people posting to that page and engaging in our favorite activity: wild speculation!

No, when a reactor goes critical, it’s a bad thing. It means that the nuclear fuel is overheating, which means that the nuclear reaction is self sustaining, and can increase, leading to meltdown.

It’s not a nuclear reactor. It’s just technobabble.

ArenaNet actually outright stated that the alliances Scarlet made are still around, their leaders still alive and unknown to us players, and that they may come back in the future.

If that is true, then it is another excellent example of the writers’ incompetence.

Scarlet used those nitwit imbeciles just to further her own agenda. Her lies and promises were what kept these logically (as well as from a strictly lore point of view) impossible alliances together. It would take an enormous effort of suspension of all disbelief – or just plain ineptitude from the writing party – to imagine they wouldn’t fall apart the moment the higher-ranking goons were informed about Villain Sue’s death.

The thing is, while Briar actually gained something from all those humiliating defeats (that should’ve annihilated her petty plans in a logical universe that’s true to the Guild Wars lore) throughout Season 1, the parties in these alliances were fed with false hope. Sure, they claimed a few victories against defenseless people, but all they hoped to “gain” from working with a similarly xenophobic and megalomaniac group were destroyed, killed, slaughtered, blown up, etc. It’s a “miracle” really that none of these alliances broke up after the first resounding loss, but with their eradication in Lion’s Arch it’s plain impossible they would still stick to “some bunch of losers from another species.” Again, Briar attained her goal, the alliances were routed and robbed of their “promised rewards” every time. They were hyped up then got burned.

That ANet even thinks about giving these horribly botched alliances from that trash called Season 1 some future role is just depressing. Looks like they learned nothing… which is a real bummer as I was truly starting to feel some glimmer of excitement for Season 2.

I argue it is because you walk through a room filled with radiation in incert control rods to prevent a nuclear reaction. Which you fail to do so.
