Stop picking up Oakeart's Essences for me!

You pick it up by running by? I experience this only when I jump by. Mostly while I’m carrying those inquest bundles. Try not to jump while passing the orbs. I suppose they made it like that so you can pick up the essence while flying. Perhaps the game can’t distinguish between flying and being otherwise airborne?

Judging by the “don’t get hit with a fireball” achievement in the latest living story, that seems to be the case.

If I want it, I’ll pick it up myself. I do not need you to pick it up for me when I run by forcing me to drop the bundle. This is even more annoying when you’re in combat and even moreso when you’re in overload air and drop the bundle (as it cancels your elemental overload).

I agree. I was in the Inquest camp holding a keyboard and every time I ran by an Oakheart Essence I dropped the keyboard. What a pain.
My request is this. If we do use oakheart essence, please if we decide to gather anything (wood, ore, plant, etc) don’t disable the remaining uses of the oakheart. Kinda frustrating.

I think there are some places (like the sides of cliffs) where the node has to be active just by brushing against it. But why some of the ones on the ground require you to interact with the node, and that one in the Inquest area triggers when you’re like 300 away from it—whether you want to or not—is beyond me. That particular one they need to set to “touch.”
