Not sure if this has been suggested before, but why not make Living World Season 1 into the instanced soloable like season 2 and purchasable on the gem story so that people who missed Season 1 can experience the story?

I suggest this as I’ve been introducing friends to the game recently who ask me… Who is Taimi? Who is Braham? Who is Scarlet Briar? I’ve been resorting to use Youtube videos but it would be really nice and less immersion breaking if that stuff were replayable in a form that can show off these people to the new generation of players. Maybe call it “Season 1 Remastered” or something?

ANet has said this is something they want to do and are working on. However, it is on the lower priority table and there is no timeline for when LS1 will be available again to play through.

A big part of the issue is how to rebalance the LS1 chapters that were designed for huge numbers of players (e.g. The Tower of Nightmares, the Marionette, the Battle for Lion’s Arch) so that it can be completed by solo players.

Hence the suggestion of putting it on the gem store. You know, for money. To grease the wheels a bit. I know it’ll take work to redo the bosses but there’s so many graphics and animations that were done for season 1 that are going to waste. I would throw money at Anet to show people who Scarlet Briar is.

Mitha, you need to reread the above response…just exactly where did you think A.net was planning on putting the LS1 once they have figured out how to make it so that people can play it solo…wait for it…

the gem store…that’s right, once they figure out how to do it, and they have the time to do it, then it will be put on the gem store for those that want to play it to buy it.
