Looking back on guild wars 1 I was reminded of a topic I haven’t seen yet, and since anet has decided to continue with the adventure system, I thought now is a good time to bring it back up:

Group Adventures.

Idea is simple: just like any adventure you get a non-combat related task (or a gimmick-combat task) which you must complete. However, in this new case, they’ll be designed for 5 man groups. You’re free to miss a member if you’re pros, but they’ll be designed for 5 people. You will earn rewards based on your teams performance, and an additional reward if you’re the daily, weekly, and monthly best. Just like anything, the emphasis will be on teamwork, communication and cooperation is key.
3 core, 2 in HoT, and 3 in PoF:
core:
Shipwreck Cove:
Your team must defend a group of people on a shipwreck as the orrian Risen climb up. Use basic skills to knock them back into the water, and pick up items to increase your abilities.
Allabar Bay:
A jumping puzzle-esque area where you must collect resources, X amounts must be collected every timed increment.
The Ant Chamber:
A cavern where DE killed the Destroyer of Life. A new nestling has risen, and in its volcanic heat, a group of adventurers must take up the golem-suits similar to Snaff’s to quench the Destroyer Ant numbers before they reach catastrophic numbers. (basedon Snaff’s water-cannon golem)

HoT:
Salvage the Wreckage:
Straightforward salvage. A competition between the hostile Amini, Mordrem, and your group, to collect as much salvage every session.
Chak Hub:
Protect the golems as they collect leyline energy. Chak will obviously want their share.

PoF:
Into the Desolation:
Stranded between the sulphurous sands, you must endure the ongoing assault of ghosts of people who died in the wastes. Good chance to make use of names from GW1.
Maritime Marinade:
Whoever said the corsairs stopped being a threat? Defeat their leader within the time.
Show-off Mount-ain:
(pun intended) players must use their various mount to move through a city-esque area while collecting stuff. Time is off the essence here, and not everyone can see everything, so communication is essential.

Rewards:
Basic bronze, silver and gold caches based on performance, daily best is platinum, weekly best is diamond, and monthly best earns the obsidian cache.
Core: contains dungeon tokens, and random crafting materials. Lots of tokens in the daily best, and chances at dungeon skins in weekly and monthly best. Each increment contains better crafting materials.
HoT: Similar system, incrementing for the HoT currencies and ‘keys’. Weekly and Monthly will have a chance at reclaimed, auric, or chak weapons.
PoF: unknown rewards atm, but maybe the monthly can be a chance at the preordered Sunspear weapons?

I would adjust your idea slightly to better fit as Guild Adventures.

But theyre supposed to be challenges with friends, rather than guildmembers though. Even random people if you like. We already have weekly guildmissions.

I dont have any friends that play gw2, nor do I have the social patience to make some.

sounds like more content I get to miss out on because how I like to play my games

well, not everything is for everyone. I mean, there’s always a line between where do you cater to everyone or just to diverse groups of people. If you can’t make groups, then I suppose you don’t fractal or raid either, should anet stop making that?
focus all resources on solo-content?
Not trying to be rude, but if you avoid playing certain styles, then you’re gonna miss out on some content. I think the game has too little group-based content. Some people don’t do anything group content related at all. As long as there’s enough of both, neither party can complain, right?

I hate adventures at all, so I vote No to any additional adventures. I would like content that has to do with the world and the story. Not minigames.

it’s this luck based mystic toilet that we’re all so sick of flushing our money down. -Salamol

Same.

Or rather, put what they want, since they do not put any item behind.

By observing what happens in the raids, the more mechanics and tricks its, the more group hate has. If you miss your “little friends” will point the finger at you and /kick.
