Yes there is. It is the leylines. On one of scarlets maps it shows a ley line right where teq is. He just absorbs it and becomes stronger – the same ley line is connected to the big pocket she drilled into to awaken mord.
has anyone even seen Zhais dead body? I know we wrecked him but maybe i leeched into the risen( hence the higher density and stronger teq) or maybe Zhaitan is in hiding deep in arah or the sea of sorrows (makes sense as to why lupicus is alive but weak after)
There is a way to glitch out of the map in Arah and swim down to where his corpse is located. (He’s HUGE.) Of course, since we’re technically bugging out the game by doing so, we can’t really treat this as canon evidence for his death.

But he didn’t get stronger after that patch neither did he before that patch

Go into one of the Explorable paths of Arah and you can See Zhaitans Body on the map
Magical energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be consumed by teh dragons. My theory is that Teq absorbed a vary large amount of the late Zhitan’s energies.
No more non cosmetic world event rewards. We haven’t forgotten the Ancient Karka.

The ley lines existed before scarlet drilled into one. Teq got a small pocket of one. Since Teq is a dragon he consumes the magic of the ley line making him stronger.
