I loved this article. Great insight into the creative process, and a look behind the scenes as to how everyone’s favorite jobless jerk golem came into being and how he has evolved through the Living Story.

I also had no idea Jobo/Hobo/Hoho-Tron is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (aka Ben 10, Renji from Bleach, Simon from Gurren Laggen, Sasuke from Naruto, and so many more animes, and of course he is also our beloved Lord Faren).

In my mind, I kidnapped Hobotron, copied his personality matrix to my Salvage-o-Matic, and gave him a new purpose in life by destroying my loot for useful items. I think he enjoys his new role.

Genius-o-Tron would be the apt name he is the musical genius of our time, he singlehandedly invented postcolonial electrotechno industrial steam blues-rock and remixing samples.

His arrangements are pure genius and capture the modern times like none ever has.

Ohhhh I love this I completely missed out on the article – and many of the details it mentions. I’ll try to pay more attention in the future XD

Article was brilliant, and Ho-Ho Tron is the best character in the Living Story.

The one thing I wish they had included in the article was sound clips of some of Hobo-Tron’s music remixes and / or dialogue from Queen’s Jubilee. I missed those during the initial release. I sat around for like 30 minutes waiting for Hobo-Tron to do something during Queen’s Jubilee and he never did, don’t know if he was bugged at the time or what.

Thought of a funny idea:

He should become Hero-tron, programed to combat evil, with his minstrel sidekick.

There should be a storyline where they track down a villain unknowingly that the player helps them defeat enemies and traps, at the end of the mission Hero-tron believes that he single-handily saved the day.
