Recently there has been a lot of talk on this matter in my guild. This has made me wonder. Don’t get me wrong, this patch is amazing and i feel wrong complaining about the matter, but let me just say what’s on my mind.

The previous patches were all good and with time became more engrossing with each expansion. Hats off to all the hard work from the Anet staff. But with all these Achievements and allure of the living story, lesser people have become interested in becoming the part of the guild. Before the last two patches we did a lot of stuff together and it was a lot lively but right now almost all the members are in the invasion maps trying to jump on the farm runs and complete a lot of achievements.

I would like to suggest you bring something in the game that people have an option to perform as a guild. (I am thankful for the missions but they are too limited and just draw few players). Right now all of my guildies are in a different overflow maps and barely talk during the heavy invasion runs.

I’m with you. I want to know what is up there sleeve that is an answer to raiding. I also want more guild content and more to explore. Lately it has been all about farming and an achievement treadmill.

I love going after achievements, but it feels forced now. That may be a personal problem though, not being able to say “No” to grabbing achievements.

I’d like it alot if they used some of the LS updates to release more fractals and permanent dungeons, and also to make fractals more worth while.

The way they did this event is good, but I can’t help but feel it could be better. My idea would be having the portal enemies actually move out and attack outposts and you need to defend those points while attacking the other groups. Make it feel more like a battle. Perhaps they could stop all other events in the zone other than the LS ones if they did this as well. Right now it is a whole lot of waypointing to take out stationary groups.

I’m not in a guild, I was but left for various reasons. I was planning to re-join a guild at some point, but then the LS went onto a 2 week cycle. To be frank there is no reason to join a guild now.

The LS content is so rapid and achievement orientated, that I now spend all my time in game running around getting the achievements over the course of however many days, there is no time or interest in doing guild events, world bosses etc. So I just don’t see a reason to join a guild.

A guild no longer offers me anything unique or clear cut that it might have once. There was a time when being in a guild meant you got to run dungeons or do story mode or guild events with people you knew were interested in teaming up with you. Now, there are more than enough people around to PUG with, being in a guild would put a burden on me to do guild stuff that I really don’t have the time to do. As I said, all the other parts I don’t play anymore. It’s always LS achievements and nothing more. I can’t remember the last time I fought Jormag’s Claw, or went into a dungeon. Fractals? Haven’t been in one for at least 2 months now. Why? LS is on such a tight time frame that unless I give 100% of my game time to it, I won’t get them done.

Living story, for me, has completely removed any desire or interest in being in a guild.
