The future of LA....
I very much doubt they would destroy LA again. That would mean too much work for the developers and too much annoyance from players.
What would be fun to see is LA being attacked and (thanks to the upgrades) staving off the attack for once.

Oh I dont expect LA to be destroyed, I actually think the same as you, it would be getting old seeing poor LA be destroyed again :/
Hope they sink Rata Sum
Leader of ninja ops
There are probably other hidden hints here and there that haven’t been found yet. Wouldn’t know where to start. Was hoping Woodenpotatoes would have somekind of speculation video up by now, but apparently he’s on hiatus.

just gotta wait, just gotta wait.
1. Where did u get that picture from?
2. Yes LA will most definitely be involved in a big battle sooner or later..otherwise why did they even bother adding those massive fortifications and cannons everywhere.
I hope Steve fills LA with water… that way we can sing ‘Under the sea’ with our instrument in LA.
I do hope, however, that the big, stupid, concrete lobster gets destroyed in any future attack.

The picture was under the masteries section of the HoT website since just before the expac launched.
Whether it is one 3-headed dragon, or an attack by three large champion dragons is unclear. It is however, extremely cool and I hope it it wasn’t a random piece of concept artwork they put up there, but some kind of long term teaser.
Most likely the same “creature” with 3 heads. Hydras are usually found in water and so on.
And yes, it would be cool.

a small, casual Guild with a play as you want style.
I said usually. An “aquatic” hydra type dragon makes more sense to me then a reptilian which visited Chernobyl
It is not possible:
1) New LA has big, monumental walls, great security.
2) If yes, ANet would wasted time with build New LA.
3) Ley Line in LA just mean changing course. Ley Line is pure magic and is neutral.
4) This picture shows DSD I think.
5) Please Link side from which you got this picture. Is it fanart?

Apparently it was on the HoT website 9 months ago as the background (now we get the purple eyed mordy construct) https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3ivbea/whats_happening_to_lions_arch_again/
I’m not so sure the surging ley lines in LA mean anything as far as hinting at another attack on LA. It could just be consistency.
The ley lines surging with power is a plot point in general. They’re doing it all over the world. And they’ve already established through the Scarlet plot that Lion’s Arch sits on a large concentration / convergence of ley lines. So with those two facts combined, if LA wasn’t experiencing the increased ley line activity on a fairly impressive scale, then it wouldn’t make sense. Obviously the location with the highest concentration of ley lines is going to be experiencing the increases more than other spots where there might just be one ley line. Unless they tried to say something like “Well, Scarlet tunneling into the ley lines broke them” or something silly like that.

Wrong page, Donari. You want this page not the main one:

it’s still there. Direct link to image:

Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
I think that the picture shows first deluge after when Zhaitan awaked. This is a symbol.
Or… Next attack? But I am not sure there is Lion’s Arch. Maybe Claw Island?
It would be kind of interesting to have the Bandits/Inquest/3rd party? actually be minions of the deep sea dragon (Or being unconsciously coerced by them). Possibly some Hydra/3 head symbolism.
I don’t think they could put in old LA in a lore appropriate fashion, constructed as it was from the remains of wrecked ships from when Orr surged out of the depths. But it would be nice to rework the sealife theme park that even the city’s own tour guide deplores (and devs said she was there to express all the player comments, especially about the lobster, so there may be hope they did this whole design intentionally as a stepping stone to the next).
I’d hate to lose the Commodore’s Quarter, though, that section and the cannon-laden docks look fantastic. It’s really just the main plaza that feels so plastic and packaged (Consortium trademarks!).
i hope Lion’s Arch gets a complete make over again.
i really dislike the current one.
Agreed! Sadly, I don’t see it happening…
Guild: Moonlit Renegades (Moon)
Highest-Level Toon: Markus Emmerich, 80 Human Scrapper
I wouldn’t be shocked if they did another number on Lion’s Arch again. The new look hasn’t exactly been well-received. Bring back Old Lion’s Arch, I say.
I didn’t get to see the original LA, but from the personal story missions that take place in old LA, its much better looking and I would love to have it back even if I do have to find y way around again
When we going to get more lions back in LA? Right now I think of it more as Lobsters Arch.

This. DSD’s champion attacking, and then it turns into an epic battle where LA manages to get through with barely any damage on it, and little to no casualties. You play a key role in beating the dragon, but much of it has to do with the defenses set up.
I WOULD like Rata Sum destroyed though (I dislike Asura). On a different note…where does that one asura gate they’ve been building in Rata Sum since LS1 lead to? It’s not operational yet, but still, it’s something I’d like to know.
