I assume many have seen the new trailer already. So far what I’ve seen The Grove will be attacked by Mordremoth himself or one of his champions. if this is true and the Pale Tree will die then the Sylvari will be homeless, and this can lead to something new!!

We know that the Tengu have no starting area. The best option is Caledon forrest. So if the Pale Tree dies the Sylvari refugees must go somewhere right? Rata Sum…hmm no not a good idea they will become test subjects. Divinity Reach…hmm maybe. Dominion of Winds….this would be a great way to involve the tengu at last.

So this is a great way do introduce the Tengu. We have a new city, Caledon forrest becomes the new starting area for Tengu. And the Grove will host a new world boss the champion of Mordremoth.

Tengu problem solved and now back to the Sylvari
We all know there is atleast one more Sylvari tree out there so that gives Anet the possibility to move the Sylvari to somewhere else. My guess the other tree is in Magus Falls.
Thus the Sylvari will have a new city and a new starting area!!

Killing the Pale Tree is a good thing.
- Tengu can be introduced because they finally have a starting area ‘’Caledon forrest’’
- A new world boss ‘’Champion of Mordremoth’’
- A new city and starting area for the Sylvari

So people of Tyria what do you think about this ?

Kind Regards,

Commander of The Pact

I think it will happen after they kill pale tree in future (they will kill her 100% , scarlet seen it) and thet about new city is not bad sylvari dont need to be bad then , they will just run to next city wher sylvari arent so bad , but tengu its too much but think they will let us play as em soon , 100% b4 season3

Won’t happen, just too much work for free. Rather they add a couple of gem store items.

‘would have/would’ve been’ —> correct
‘would of been’ —> wrong

Tere is one or two zones unexplored that the Tengu have walls at.

Also “new city/starting area for Sylvari.” How can they pull that off seeing as the Pale tree BIRTHS new Sylvari. If the Pale tree dies, there are no new Sylvari (at least from Caledon forest). And if they want to pretend to keep the Personal story unaffected, they have to keep it in the grove.

Yes if the Pale Tree dies then their are no new Sylvari from The Grove. But their is atleast one more tree out there maybe more that can make Sylvari. And I’m sure their are already alot of Sylvari running around in Tyria so don’t worry about that

Only problem is the Personal Story like you said. I don’t know if they are willing to change all that. Only time will tell.

If the Pale Tree dies, I would have a wake for her. She had had a special place in my heart since I met her in EoTN in 2008. I really hope that someone else gets picked off in the next episode. I would rather see Queen Jennah get killed because she doesn’t do anything in this game. With the level of writing that the Anet staff exhibits, I don’t think they have the ability to create a good Sylvari comeback should the Tree die. Psychological, political, and social drama just isn’t their forte. I dont’ think they will ever get to the level of Suzanne Collin’s Hunger Games or GRRM’s Game of Thrones. I can tell that type of stuff isn’t in their interests or passions. And I’m saying that as a writer / artist. I’ve noticed that they like to touch the surface of the subject, but they refuse to delve deeper into the story.

I also hope that this isn’t an attempt to remove the Sylvari from the game. Mama Tree is the only person who protects the Dreamers from Mordremoth’s influence. I know we have a vocal minority that wants them gone, but none of the other races have an interesting storyline like these guys. I’ve tried playing the other groups. Their stories don’t have a good hook.

Only a good storyline will keep me engaged in this game if I were to lose all my hardcore & semi-hard RL friends. I already have gotten to lv 80, and I’m slowly ticking off achievements as I go. . BTW the regular gamers are leaving this game right now because they can’t farm, champ train, get gold in legit ways, or have anything to do after lv 80 . PvP, Guild Missions, Dungeons, and Fractals and WvW can only keep one’s attention for so long. Many of the gamers I’ve been hanging out with have done these things thousands of times, so they’re choosing to leave. Rp and chatting with other gamers is the only thing I have left.

In GW1, the storyline kept me playing the game when my guildies and friends left due to content issues. Now 10 months into this game, the same thing is happening again. The only thing that keeps me engaged is the Sylvari storyline.

The humans & Charr are in a truce, so they’re boring. Asuras have let Inquest integrate into their society, so there isn’t any story conflict. The Norn are just standing around instead of doing something about the Svanir problem. Elona & Cantha aren’t in this game. There is no way to play a Zephyrite. For all we know, Zephyrite culture might not come back after the recent events.

As for the Tengu, it would be great for this group to be reintroduced to this game, but I don’t see any signs of that happening soon.

I guess I’m going to have to create a backup plan in case the worst happens.

The pale tree won’t die. If it did that would be the end of any new players (or alt makers) being able to make a Sylvari character and play the personal story that depicts the pale tree in much of it. Likewise PS stories that relate to the avatar of the tree taking us through Orr will be gone too. The pale tree may be damaged and hurt but in terms of overall story won’t die. Much the same was the ghosts of Ascalon won’t go away – it would be too much work to redo all the quests in the area.

A new pale tree could be found sure, but again, killing the existing one and replacing it with one located elsewhere make it difficult for personal story reasons

If Tengu were to join the fight then most likely their involvement will begin with Trehearne using his political connection with the Tengu race to open their gates to allow access into the Tengu City first.

Yes people hate Trehearne but he is more of a politician than a military leader due to his skills being more suited in politics with his large amount of political connections with the other races that very few manage to earn and one of his connections is the Tengu race.
