I just realized, that the new map will not be in the east of Divinity’s Reach. There is Lake Doric, right? But Dev said (when Lake Doric “leaked” in China), that Anet will not give this location in the next Episode:

“This is not Episode 4’s map and we have zero plans to release this into the game at any point in the future.”

So I think, that Divinity’s Reach will be attacked from everywhere by these cannons!

Jennah said in this trailer: “Kryta will not be broken, Divinity’s Reach will not fall”- So why didn’t she say only “DR will not fall”, why did she say about THE WHOLE Kryta? :

1st theory- she thinks about the aftermaths, what if DR will fall
2nd theory- White Mantle prepares attack from everywhere (Bandit Bosses from Current Events).

Or the new map is there but no Lake Doric.

The trailer shows catapults firing from the east (see picture for reference).

Take a look at Wooden Potatoes video where he analyses the trailer. It looks like entry may be from the east via the dam area. If the dam gets blown up there won't be any Lake Doric which makes me wonder where that water is going to go and how it will affect Queensdale and areas south...

Being that there is a portal we cannot get to right now in the north part of Brisban I am hoping the new map spans to both sides around Divinity’s Reach which would make it a nice large map to traverse.

They said they won’t be using the Lake Doric map, that was accidentally accessible in the China client. They didn’t say they won’t be using the location that that old map occupied.

So if these shots come from East and the map will be in the East, that will mean that dev manipulated me and a lot of players

So I am a bit confused now.

You won’t be seeing the old Lake Doric map from pre-Core release that was datamined, and accidentally accessed.

You will be seeing an all-new map that may, or may not, be in the same general area.

Understand, now?

They said they had no plans to continue on “Lake Doric”
they didn’t say they were never going to make a map in or near that area.
What they said was, we won’t make Lake Doric.
Besides, the area to the east isn’t considered Lake Doric, Lake Doric is to the north of DR, not to the east.

It’s a shame to let the map go to waste, I looks like a cool place. Maybe one day they will make use of it, maybe.

I am curious to see how any attack on DR can be implemented in the game at all, since they can’t change the current status of maps for everyone like they did with LA in S1 (inconsistent for people who are just starting their personal story). Will there be two versions of DR then? Will players who enter Queensdale for the first time get on a different map instance as everyone else? Either would be an enormous programming effort on behalf of ArenaNet and I can’t imagine that. Maybe DR, yes, but the other “old” maps will only be changed in story instances I take it.

She says kryta instead of DR simply because she thinks that they are the bastion of the world. Typical political speech. I can hardly believe that is a cue to anything.
