The fact that some of the structures are being fully built “somewhere else” and flown in, and has to do with the consortium, means if they are flown from Southsun, they may be infested with the things.

This I wouldn’t mind, but the Karka themselves are just irritating to fight.

Triple health bars, insta-gib knockdowns, immunities, condis that can only be removed with dodges. *shudders

Now it makes me wonder where those steel beams are from and how that hatchling got in in there. It would not surprise me to find the Consortium setting things up so they will be “necessary” for quite some time in LA. Also I am wondering how involved is Job-O/Hero Tron in all this…..

I found an NPC named Chapel Woman sitting on Deverol Island who said the Consortium was building a chapel off site and going to airlift it in when it is done. It is fun walking around to see who you can speak with and what new things they are saying.

I did get a better picture of the hatchling. If you stand on the end of the beams you can look inside right at it.

Everybody misses the old lighthouse. There are 2 consortium NPCs + a golem and it seems like they plan to make the lighthouse stand straight again, but they are not sure if it will work.

It would be good if karka attacked the new LA, because I did not have the game during the first attack and I would love to see it, maybe using a similar system to the scarlet invasion (infested with lots of little ones and every so often a big event occurs)? As long as no physical damage is caused AGAIN, I would have no problem. Anyway, it’s something to do before HoT launches whatever it is!

He also says that he is not liberty to divulge details but it will be the site of an exciting new guild related organization. I am thinking this is where the Guild Halls will be…..

I ran around Lion’s Arch and could not find Hero Tron I am curious as to what he may be up to. He is not in the Crow’s Nest Tavern with the rest of the Captain’s Council….

I like the Karka, they are so annoying that they become memorable. They remind me of a montypython song actually – although I can’t do it justice in writing:

They will destroy the lighthouse and fountain, then leave.

Yes you did! Turned out it was only an “infestation” that we got to take care of.

Considering all the npc conversations I have been hearing around the city I suspect more is coming. There appear to be a lot of underhanded, back door dealings with the rebuilding of Lion’s Arch. Also the fact that so much of it was pre-built elsewhere and brought in makes me wonder what else has snuck into the city that we have not found yet. We have no idea where this stuff was built since we saw no facilities anywhere around Southsun for a project this large. The presence of karka hatchlings would indicate a possible secret build location somewhere near Southsun Cove or maybe the infestation occurred from parts being brought in from Southsun to where ever the pre-building was going on.

I also noticed where “Evon” Gnashblade is under Deverol Island there are driftwood sticks that we can pick up. It has me curious as to what we may be able to use those for. A lot of interesting things and conversations are going on and will be worth keeping an eye on for further developments.

Next attack on LA is expected. Maybe it will be the Karka, maybe it will be the remnants of the Aetherblades, maybe it will be the remnants of the Toxic alliance. Or maybe ALL three…..etc.

No problem. Just give us player a new title. “Legendary Saviour of Lion Arch”
