Na, i don’t think so. In “Points of Interest” episode 1, they were talking about
having representations of real-world players (such as LGBT as represented by Marjory and Kasmeer and Disabled people of course represented by Taimi) so players can feel a real connection to them.

Tangent, but it’s not, really. Charr are ahead in a number of areas, and the main reason the asura have more spectacular results is that they mix magic in. And humans can achieve spectacular results with magic without relying on technology at all, either through their own power or some relatively simple enchanted item like, say, a horn. Or a sword.
Most people would probably still say that theirs is the most advanced, and that they can blend magic and technology more seamlessly than any of their competitors among the currently extant cultures is part of why they are more advanced, but ‘undeniable’ is probably overstating their case.
To those who think Scarlet hate means she’s succeeded as a villain:
