Just ‘playing’ (well, ok, listening to NPC’s talk talk talk talk) the first section, is the rest of it so full of endless talk?

It’s not so bad when you just do it once, but by the 3rd or 4th time through all that endless talking between NPCs that you are forced to watch is just mind numbingly boring.

Pleae, Anet, can we have the chance to skip through the meaningless NPC endless talking?

I agree! It’s been like this ever since the first Living World season. I understand that if they kept it like it was in the Personal Story, it would mean some more animating, or whatever. But I would greatly prefer the PS style, so I could skip over dialogue I’ve heard before.

Agreed. Going through it with my 6th toon and really done with it. I’m typing this right now while they are talking… and I’d love to just skip it already.

Yes, repeating the story with additional characters is horrible.

My 2nd character needed 3 hours to get through the Hoelbrak instance and maybe a bit longer to get through Rata Novus. Why? Because every time the NPCs started talking, I alt-tabbed (or completely walked away from my PC) to do something more interesting, often to stay away from the game for long stretches of time. I had to restart the Hoelbrak instance once because I was kicked for inactivity.

I won’t be doing it with more characters the way this is set up.

It’s actually not so bad. Some of the time (especially during the memorial), you can move forward without waiting for each speaker to finishing talking (and talking…and talking…and talking some more). If I run this on all my toons, it’s looking as if solo combat is going to provide the bigger bottleneck.

(Mind you: I’m all in favor of being able to re-run instances with less waiting around.)

It’s insanely boring having to listen to NPCs banter over and over again just to make the story longer. A skip button is necessary at least for the first two sections!

I prefer this method of character interaction, but it would be nice to have some progression triggers for alts you want to blitz the content with.

Disagree, I think it’s fine, I like the way the characters interact now, skipping the story parts of the story seems silly to me.

I want an option for a complete dialog free model of the instance. Literately the same instance but without any waiting for npcs to finish talking.
Unlockabale by playing the instance 1 time for the whole account.
Would not be to much in terms of work for the devs but would skip a kittenton OF GOD kitten USELESS TALKING I ALREADY HEARD 5 TIMES.

I also like it, but not for the second, third and forth time. Story’s somewhat ok for the first time, but everything after that, without the possibility to skip, is just hurting the whole experience .

I really liked the Eir memorial section the first time. I went back to get a missed achieve and have to agree, the great dialog and moving story just are tedious and boring on repeat. I actually feel guilty hating it now because of the content. I’m baffled why, when achieves require multiple plays of the story even by one toon, there is no skip button on long dialog. This has been a sticking point for me to repeat other parts of the living story to finish off my achieves.

Forced myself through the second part last night- and almost died to the one spawn of chak as had got bored of the waffle and tabbed out to do something interesting online.

There is WAY too much NPC talking and way too little action so far- please tell me it will improve.

As for achievements, don’t think I could ever bear to go through it again just to get one, even if it has some mastery point attached.
