Unobtainable daily
by hab do you mean Justiciar Hablion in Bloodstone Fen? (asking for clarity)
yes Hablion in Bloodstone Fen. I really shouldn’t post when frustrated.
Did you get event credit but not daily credit? Or did you get neither?
I can’t tell anymore if I get credit. The display on the right doesn’t stay on long enough for me to catch it every time. I was in free fall just as he died and it took me a bit to get on solid ground. So if it did display I wouldn’t have notice. I don’t always notice when that pops up anymore since there were other events I wonder if I had gotten and only realized I did when I found an event chest in my inventory.
So I don’t know if I got event credit or not. And if I didn’t there really needs to be a major overhaul on how we get credit if I can’t get credit for doing constant damage on the npc. But as I said I don’t know if I did or not since I don’t know any way to check if I miss the pop up.
Ember Bay, Bloodstone Fen and Bitterfrost Dailies have their own tab in the Hero panel, listed under the “Daily” in the Achievement panel. The easiest way to see if you received credit for Hablion would be to check there.

The Daily panel does not indicate whether one received event credit or not.
One way would be to check your Karma total before and after the event. If it has increased, you received event credit.
Do be aware, if there are a lot of players participating in the event, it is possible to not do enough damage to fulfill the requirement for credit. This is why some suggest partying up for credit.
It is possible your client could have corrupted file(s), and a -repair of the client would be in order.
Good luck.

At the very least, the panel should indicate whether or not OP has contributed enough damage to the kill to have it count toward the BF daily? I’m honestly asking here.

That is the problem we are trying to solve; if OP got event credit but not reward credit it’s likely a bug. If they didn’t get event credit then they likely didn’t contribute enough to the event
This happened to me twice. Got event credit and loot. Both times several other people complained about it in map chat. I made an in-game bug report.
I had that happen to me last night. I had some time to kill waiting on a friend so I hopped to BF to do the two fast dailies. I arrived as the Hablion fight was in progress so I glided over and bombed the heck out of him. However there wasn’t much ground time for me so I did almost no damage while on foot.
I got event credit but the daily did not tick off my tracker. I mentioned it in Map and someone told me it was the ground combat damage that gets you daily credit. Ah well, I wasn’t planning on doing that daily anyway, just stumbled on it. And now I know to land and beat him up and avoid the blue circles if I didn’t get there as the fight began.
It does seem somewhat opposite to other dailies, though, where a bare minimum of effort will count. Bronze participation in the 4 events in a map events daily, arriving at the end of an Activity and having the scoreboard pop up before you do anything, etc.
It has happened to me many times. Kill credit & Event credit, but not Daily credit. The “urban lore” explanation is you have to get in some damage before or during the 50% “spirit” stage to get the daily credit. As far as ground damage credit, I am not sure about that.
hablion is very wierd encounter idd i showed up around 50% and all and killed him (mostly with flying and firing MAH LAZOR )but when he died i got no daily credit and me be like “b but i fired mah lazor ;-;”. Yeah is there a chance his participation is kinda messed up ?
Since this thread’s been resurrected … I happened on a 50% Hablion a couple of days ago. Mindful of the need to tag him on the ground, I glider-lasered my way into the fight, then avoided the blue circles to beat him up a while, then glider-lasered him at the end. I did get credit. I was on a Reaper so I was thwacking him reasonably hard while on the ground.

I’m not sure why anyone would know that, outside of hearing it from someone in /map or /say. (I certainly didn’t think of it — damage should be damage, regardless of whether it’s dealt from the air or the ground.)

I think the issue is in how characters are tagged. I admit, I haven’t done much killing with the gliding skills, but I think if you’re in the air, you don’t necessarily tag the enemies. Has anyone killed a mob with just glider skills, and if so, did you get credit for it? This sounds like where the root of the problem is.

Yes, I have routinely killed foes with just glider skills and gotten loot from it. That is considered “tagging” by most players.
