I was a big fan of the first Guild Wars. I liked the story, there wasn’t much useless crap to do outside of titles. You were to be able to link your GW2 with your GW account and use the titles from GW1 to get stuff in GW@. I received no such benefit. Back to my main gripes.
I started playing and I immediately didn’t like that the skills changed based on what weapon you had quipped. Being able to make a build to suit your needs was what made Guild Wars fun. That is gone. There are dailies, which I am assuming is daily kills or quests. Hell I don’t know. The storyline is incoherent at best. I still have yet to get to the point where I am understanding what happened to Tyria.
What really turns me off with this game is the level scaling. If I am level 15, keep me at level 15. I enter a area that has enemies that are lvl 11 I get scaled to level 11. Them kitten veteran bears and boars hit hard and with limited skill and lowered level it is hard to kill them. That is really annoying. That totally defeats the purpose of leveling doesn’kitten I used to farm things on GW1 by leveling and going back and killing things to get stuff to salvage and whatnot. Now I can’t do that because I am scaled to their level.
And what is with the Karma? Is it really necessary to add a totally useless currency to the game that you now have to keep doing these pointless quests over and over just to get a different currency for who knows what? Not it isn’t. You have gold silver and copper. That is good enough. There is dailies (I am not even sure what that is about yet) which I assume help you in some way, though I haven’t quite figured it out.
There are champion monsters that you fight which is just boring because you have to be in a group to kill them and it is a constant train you have to follow around. This game is Poor at best. It has lost my interest and I will not be playing it again.

On a separate note, they have failed again when it comes to the Original GW. I can not get my NCsoft account anymore because it gives me an error that says the games I had attached to the account no longer exist. So now I can’t even play the original anymore. You have lost a customer Anet. Judging by the problems people are having with Aion and NCsoft, You may want to pull your head out of a certain area of your bodies before more people do the same.

So you basically didn’t read up on anything at all and assume that this game would be GW1 with prettier graphics and now you are mad because you were wrong?

Krall Bloodsword – Mesmer
Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square

A lot of the points he made are valid though. karma, champ trains, too many currencies. No point to dailies ( after you get enough to gear your chars with amulets aka 1 month = 2 chars).

Apologies but it appears this isn’t the game for you, you sound like someone that might prefer to play a traditional MMO, lets have a look…

  1. Skill swap with weapons, I’m not a fan either as I like to have my certain look and aesthetic appeal but want the skills I need for the time, but not really something to get all up in arms about, there are massive positives like being able to tell what your opponent will be doing by judging what weapons he has etc.
  1. You mentioned there are dailies and you don’t like them, this to me is weird because even just by looking at them you kind of get what they do or are? If you have questions about them ask, don’t berate something you don’t even know about. " Hell I dont know ".
  1. Storyline does feel more out of game than in it, eg: Short stories on website and not events / quests in game. So good point here, but they ARE improving, you should have seen when living story released
  1. Level scaling, reading this is what made me start writing this post, it sounds like you have a traditional MMO syndrome, you request to be level 80 and go back to level 15 zone and not die ever and 1 shot every type of mob in the game including veteran and champions of that level? This is hands down one of their best design decisions, it allows lower content to not be TRIVIAL, the system needs tweaks but no my good sir, this is a GOOD feature.
  1. This, in as delicate way I can say, is an L2Play issue, put better, give it time. When I first started I definitely wasn’t used to the combat system either, coming from every other traditional MMO. You should be struggling against certain types of enemies because they are strong. Dodge, use skills and abilities that counter their attacks. Practise.
  1. And from here your post just becomes more trolly, but alas we will help you! Your first mistake was assuming this game is GW1, no researching, Second you appear to have NO desire to even learn you just vomit disapproval perhaps YOU should pull your head out your kitten =). Last but not least…inb4 thread lock because " I quit " threads aren’t allowed? I’m curious did you even make it level 20 let alone 15?
