I know there are threads containing this kind of information – or people are witnessing it.
But today I noticed a new vine popping up at the Prosperity Waypoint in Dry Top. It wasn’t there before and I couldn’t have missed this one, as I used that waypoint fairly often.

I really like the spreading and things happening from day to day, it really feels immersive.

Are there other waypoints outside of Dry Top that have these vines next to them? I know of one in Skrittsburg but no other so far. Have you noticed some?

I have an interesting theory on this:

If you watched the new entangled trailer you will see the vines are spreading throughout to other areas. The photo that you just posted confirms my theory. Whoever, or whatever is using the Waypoint System to spread out to other areas. That is why you see the same Giant from the town of Town of Nageling http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Champion_Giant in a desert region perhaps Dry Top. Perhaps the vines are grabbing creatures from other areas and WP them to Dry Top.

While I agree with the WP-theory I don’t think it is the same giant as Nageling, I simply think that is how giants look overall.

Supplementing theory: They’re spreading through the Ley lines.

There’s a study in the Priory, I believe, that explains that some WP’s seem to thrive while others seem to vanish after a while. This is apparently connected to some sort of energy which they haven’t explained yet.

Obviously this energy is Ley lines, which means they might manifest through the WP’s which are situated on certain lines. A flaw in the design. This is also why Prosperity is going to get overgrown. It’s basically sitting on an open connection to the Ley line.

It also has what appears to be a path that the vines are following.

Fort Salma is said to have a vine at the waypoint as well.

Anytime you see a Waypoint flicker too, you can be sure a vine is soon to appear.

She seems to be pretty calm considering there is suddenly a huge spiked vine protruding from the ground right behind her.

Maybe she hasn’t even noticed it yet.

Should we tell her or let her turn around and discover it being there all on her own?

We shall see.

There are three WPs in Kessex that are accompanied by vines. They are the ones closest to Ft. Salma. The WPs further away do not have the vines.

I just saw that. The Gap Waypoint in Kessex appears to be shorting out as well.

Nice finds everyone! I think it’s safe to say that Entangled will have some content/achievements spread out across the world that deal with these vines.
