WTF happened to Rytlock?
That is a HUGE issue with the current Living Story.
Thee give us plot line, character development and what not. In game time its probably been about a month. Yet all of us playing the game have been waiting for 8 months for answers.
Its like DBZ when they were doing the episodes at the same time as the comic, you would see the characters screaming and powering up for 5-10 min a episode.
Anet isnt following any comic or any writes story line. This is their story and right here is why i say Living World was a million times better.
We were given dungeons, events to farm, events to achieve, events where we saw other people in the game.
Now we are given story instances where i repeat X instance to get X ap if i want it.
Yet the story itself makes little sense and has come to a complete pause. We will be powering up for the next couple months until the expansion comes out and for those that buy it.
He died on the way to his home planet
He got seconded to Master X Master.
Seriously, though, this is a major issue with the whole LS project. It’s structured like a long-running TV show but instead of a season of 20-30 episodes that we watch every week it comes in 4-6 episodes a year. You cannot sustain the number of characters and sub-plots of a long-running tv show on that kind of schedule.
Needs new format entirely for LS4. Linked, complete short stories, where each episode stands on its own. Or a rolling single, linear storyline like LS1. Current version is incoherent.
GW2 is super inconsistance and they set up lots of plot threads without any pay off. Are we gonna have to way another two years before we find out where rythlock is?
It’s just my gut feeling, but I think we are going to probably go grab the troops for our foray into the desert. We will probably see what they have been all up to and get them out of their pickles before we head out.
An easier and better way for Braham and Rox would be to kill them off trying to fight Jormag then have Canach and Livia join the group.
I guess some people are always in a rush for answers.
This episode included some rushed answers to questions we’ve had for a while and, largely, I was disappointed. I far prefer a mystery to last for 3 years than to get a disappointing response.
It’s a good thing that ANet offers a mix of approaches for stuff like this, since their audience has a mix of preferences.
He’ll come back in the expansion with even more powers and even less explanation.
