E is Anise!!!
During the mission with Shining Blade she said she was watching us. So it makes sense now.

The letters about Kasmeer’s importance, caring of Logan. She really likes Kas.

Anise was watching us but she represents Shining Blade so for these years they were watching us. And now we are the part of Shining Blade- that’s awesome.

I think so? Although I found it weird they didn’t confirm it in game, just implied it with one line.

During Party Politics she told us that she got a message from ‘E’ saying some stuff about Estelle.

Well, “E” could be Anise after all, if Anise isn’t really Anise…

Now that we know that people can prolong their lives using ancient artifacts, we could speculate that there are more important personalities from GW1 lore hiding in Kryta, behind masks (especially those related to the Shining Blade).

Therefore, it no longer seems too far fetched to say that “E” might be Evennia (who could be Anise indeed). Also, the fact that Queen Jennah’s cat is called Shadow has a different taste to it now, doesn’t it? And Jennah could be Princess Salma after all (which would explain her powerful magic, when you had 250 years to practice and develop your art…).

Who knows what is going on in the devs’ heads.

I’m not so sure. Firstly, in the Marjory short story, E had a masculine voice. Though that could be faked with magic, probably.

More telling, however, is the letters during Episode 4. E has contacts in the Order of Whispers (Anise is unlikely to have any, otherwise she wouldn’t need Canach in the Pact), has access to certain Shining Blade and Seraph figures (something Anise can/does have), a hatred for White Mantle (like Anise), doesn’t like others being anonymous in contact (never shown in Anise), but most importantly: E learned about the plot in Orphaned human PS by Caudecus and sent Salia and Mehid in. However, Salia and Mehid showed that they acted without Anise’s orders in the story.

As a rule, I tend not to trust anonymous letters, but I’m sending this note back with your bird because of the gravity of what you wrote. If what you say about a planned assassination and about the identity of the White Mantle Confessor is true, I can’t afford not to act. That being said, I’ll give you the same warning I give all new informants: I don’t like being toyed with. We’ll be watching the target to see if this assassination attempt actually comes to pass. This shows that E has contacts high up in the Shining Blade – or may even be a Shining Blade member – but is unlikely to be Anise.

Id hope not.

I want E to be male because theres already too many female characters in GW2, we need more males that are iconic and leading the story for a change.

It’s like Game of Thrones this season. It’s all women of power and handicapped males.

Let’s hope Guild wars2 is going to balance this out and is not going all SJW Girl power ill drop this franchise as fast as I did Marvel comics, Dr. Who, And Ghostbusters Keep the virtue signaling out of games, please.

Ever considered that “E” could be an agent/operative of anise ? Remember she does have here eyes and ears out in the field reporting back to her . You could also have a twist where there is more than one party watching you – shining blade , order of whispers ( remember they always work behind the scenes and intel gathering is something they love doing in secret ) and we could include the white mantle . I say white mantle because it would make sense for them to watch possible threats and possible allies and probably a good way to “watch” someone is keep out of the scene and drop little messages saying things which dont imply the reasons you are watched are for the greater evil . Nice job on removing xxxx threat or sorting xxxx situation out doesnt sound nasty where saying oh you killed one of our operatives or wrecked our plans to do xxx would set off alarm bells . GW2 is full of keeping things both hidden and things in plain sight ( a gd way to hide something is to keep it in plain sight ) . Heck to go a step further it could have been bal or any of the other 6 gods watching you – could even be Dhuum ( wonder what hes been upto in the last 250 yrs ) . Could even be a case we`ll have a mystery that will continue from end of gw2 and into gw3 if anet makes it – gw3 – mystery of E lol
